Today's news you might've missed:

  • It's a girl for Lily Rose Cooper! The singer welcomed her second daughter, Marnie Rose Cooper, on Tuesday. [People]
  • Is anyone anywhere surprised that Fox's "Stars in Danger: The High Dive" was the lowest-rated major broadcast in its demo when it aired Wednesday? Because we're not. [EW]
  • Charlie Sheen's been writing checks for a variety of causes lately, and that now includes the funeral of the paparazzo who died taking photos of Justin Bieber's car. The actor wrote a $12,000 check to the family for memorial costs. [TMZ]
  • ABC is pretty much sold on getting Joss Whedon's "S.H.I.E.L.D." a series order. [THR]
  • Well, at least they get the awkwardness right in the "morning after" scene that's on the extended edition of "Breaking Dawn - Part I."

Justin Timberlake's ready to release new music

Now that we're done hyperventilating and collectively freaking out, we can talk about Justin Timberlake's announcement that he's back in business. The music business, to be precise.

A rep for the newly married entertainer said in August that Timberlake didn't have new solo music in the works, despite rumors to the contrary. But it would appear that in 2013 Timberlake is changing his tune.

Adele will grace Golden Globes

As much as we respect Adele's refreshing commitment to staying out of the spotlight, it has been a while since we've last seen her.

Granted, she's been busy as a new mom to her baby who arrived in October, but on Sunday she'll make time for her fans across the pond.

With her song "Skyfall" nominated in the best original song for a motion picture category at this weekend's Golden Globes, Adele is said to be preparing to make her first post-baby appearance at the ceremony.

According to Us Weekly, the 24-year-old singer - whose album, "21," was the best-selling album of both 2011 and 2012 - hasn't walked the carpet at an event since she went to the Brit Awards last February.

Beyonce on new album and a 'Destiny'-filled reunion

As the newly minted "Hottest Woman of the 21st Century" - per GQ magazine - Beyonce is well aware of the power she wields as an influential entertainer. But that doesn't mean she completely understands it.

The 31-year-old singer said as much to GQ in its February issue, which boasts the mom of one on the cover in just skivvies and a cropped top.

Seth MacFarlane: The Academy and I are on the same page

After Thursday's Academy Awards nominations, Seth MacFarlane can say he's the Oscars host as well as a nominee.

His song "Everybody Needs A Best Friend” from his film “Ted" earned MacFarlane a nod for his lyrics, with music by Walter Murphy. Talking to a panel of experts on CNN's Starting Point with Soledad O'Brien via satellite after the nomination announcements, the "Family Guy" creator joked about his good fortune. FULL POST
