Love led to weight loss for Kelly ClarksonWhile finding a romantic partner often means putting on pounds, for Kelly Clarkson it's meant the opposite. The 30-year-old singer, who announced her engagement to Brandon Blackstock in December, told Cosmopolitan magazine that she dropped 18 pounds after falling for the Nashville-based talent manager.
"I think that happens when you fall in love or date someone," Clarkson said. "If I'm going to be kissing or messing around, I gotta look good." And it sounds like she fell hard: "Six years I was single before this," Clarkson told the magazine. "I've never been truly loved like I am right now." The "Stronger" songstress said watching her portions was key, a tip she picked up from her trainer. "There's not a fad diet. I was working with a trainer, and she said, 'You'd be amazed the amount of weight you can drop by halving your portions. I know it sounds crazy, but do it for two weeks and watch what happens,'" Clarkson recalled. "I just cut back my portions, I stopped eating late at night, and I work out a little more than I used to, and I literally dropped 18 pounds in a month. I think it happens when you get really busy as well. But when I'm on my off-time—girl, those 18 might come back."

Congrats on the engagement and the weight loss but 18 pounds lost in 1 month? Yikes that sounds like starvation to me. Most healthcare experts recommend weight loss of 1-2 lbs a week.
Who's she trying to kid? It's called,"s3xercise"!
