Krysten Ritter's 'down' for '50 Shades' movieThe armchair casting for "Fifty Shades of Grey" has covered nearly every actor in Hollywood, but there's a new name to add to the list: Krysten Ritter. The 31-year-old has been at the center of a new round of wishful thinking after she replied positively to a suggestion from a fan that she should land the role of the submissive Anastasia Steele. If the film's studio, Universal, came knocking, Ritter already knows what her answer would be.
"Thanks! I would be down," Ritter tweeted with a wink. The actress, who's been showing her comedic side with ABC's "Don't Trust the B-- in Apt. 23," joins a list of other raven-haired stars whose names have been thrown into the hat for the part, including Lucy Hale, Kristen Stewart and Felicity Jones. Thus far, however, Universal has stayed pretty quiet on its adaptation of the erotic best-seller since it announced that writer Kelly Marcel will compose the screenplay. What do you think - would you want to see Ritter star as Steele in the "Fifty Shades" movie?

Figures. She's to beautifull, the chacter is supposed to be pretty, pleasant to look at. They will screw it up. Of course, the movie is nothing but porn, so I don't even know how they'll pull it off.

I think that if one more of you mentions Kristen Stewart for 50 Shades, my computer, Kindle, Ipad and smartphone are going to explode in disgust.
The character of Ana was based off the actress Kristen Stewart. YES Kristen Stewart and her real life boyfriend Rob Pattinson was used to base the character of Christian.
I don't like that actress...she's so aloof in all of her interviews and the continuous running of her hands in her hair drives me nuts...I would go for Anne Hathaway...but of course with longer hair.

@ K Fan...I don't know how much experience she has but she certainly has a submissive look, more so than Ritter.
It saddens me that someone would even think about making this mediocre book into a movie. Mommie Porn a.k.a. Badly written novel. Perhaps the author should spend her time rewriting the book to make it a passable piece of fiction.

Krysten Ritter's not a bad actress, but doesn't she come across as a little too sophisticated and confident to play Anastasia? I'd suggest a young actress named Troia Bellisario who's currently being (IMO) underutilized in "Pretty Little Liars."

Horrible. Ana is not "funny", she's shy, doesn't know much about the world, and intellegent. Is that what you think of when you see this lady? as far as her work todate? there is nothing in her resume that would lead me to believe she could even remotedly pull this off.
Dude, this is a rumor about casting for a movie based on twilight fanfiction, ANYONE could pull this off.
