Shakira welcomed a son ... or did she?

Shakira’s soccer star beau, Gerard Pique, may be quite the jokester.

On Thursday night, he tweeted a message in Spanish that translates to, “Our son has been born! We are very happy! Thank you all for your messages!”

But Pique posted another tweet on Friday, fueling speculation that he was joking in the earlier post: “Already has a name! It is called Inocencio! Happy Day of innocents to all!”

Similar to April Fools' Day, December 28 is known as a day for pranks in many Spanish-speaking countries.

Shakira, who announced her pregnancy in September, will soon take a seat in one of the revolving chairs on NBC’s “The Voice.” The singer will judge the show’s fourth season alongside Usher, in place of Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green.
