Portman, 'Twilight' stars make Forbes list of best actors for the buckNatalie Portman, Kristen Stewart and Shia LaBeouf are among the top 10 stars on Forbes list of Hollywood’s Best Actors For The Buck. Unlike Eddie Murphy, who Forbes named the most overpaid actor, these stars offer the best return on investment. Based on Portman’s “Black Swan,” “No Strings Attached” and “Your Highness,” Forbes estimates that the Oscar winner returns $42.70 for every $1 she’s paid. Stewart nabbed the No. 2 spot, retuning $40.60 for every $1. Trailing behind her is LaBeouf, followed by her “Twilight Saga” co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. See the full list below: 1. Kevin James is #10??? IMO that's too high. All the movies where he is the male lead were bombs. Ones that made money he was just a supporting actor.
I'd eat Portman's a$$ clean off
mammie & descartes,
You both have problems. ...deep and serious problems.
natalie is more beautiful then before and she photographs well
truly amazing...you are beautiful Natalie
need we ssay more...
that face...no darn wrinkles either....
she gave the job and there it was.....gotta admit from i just saw....boobs are still big an huge and in position
hair is healthy and lips are full.....i'm good.
everyone wants her....amazing
That's cuz Portman is HOT! And she's even better after the "job" she got.
Kevin James....really?
Then again, the topic i return on investment not quality of investment
I can see Kevin James – he's an "everyman", and he has a likeability quality about him and when in the right role, he's very funny, ie: King of Queens. If he's in a movie, I'm interested in seeing it. Plus he's kind of cute in a boyish way (acts kind of childish but it's endearing so you like him). He's got that Chris Farley kind of appeal.
Kevin James hasn't been funny since King of Queens. And even then he wasn't that funny.
I wouldn't walk across the street to see a Natalie Portman movie.
Nobody would ever remember about such actors 50 years from now.
Are they all white.. .then its all flattery. nothing is seriovsly earned when youre always next in line.
Interesting point–everyone is white on this list. Also, Eddie Murphy is the most overpaid actor. It's really unsurprising since he's made such jaw-dropping garbage for so long, but perhaps also telling...of something? Another observation, really surprised not to see Will Smith anywhere on this list...but i guess he didn't really put anything out this year. Finally, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Will Pattinson, Daniel Radcliffe...these actors didn't make the money, their franchises did.
Not all of them are white. Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. The Rock is half black and half samoan.
I like Mila kunis and will ferrel. Good actors.
Interesting article. Now excuse me while I take my first post Christmas dump. Should be a massive one.
I poop, therefore I am.
Where is Meryl Streep on that list? And DeNiro, Anthony Hopkins + all the rest of the Brits + the talent from Australia? Our DeCaprio, Matt Damon, Jean Penn etc.etc.......too many to mention!! – @Marita.
Marita-
Yes, all good (great) actors, but that's not the point of this post. It's comparing actor salaries to the amount of money the movie makes. The actors you have listed certainly receive huge salaries, but their movies don't make enough to put therm on this list. It's all about ratios: divide the movie's gross receipts by the actor's salary. The bigger the salary (or the lower the gross receipts), the smaller the ratio.
Has anyone seen "water for elephants ".. Terrible movie.. What has lautner done?
The Adventures of Lava Girl and Shark Boy in 3D!
Stewart, pattison and lautner all earned this from the Twilight saga...what else have they done.. We'll see in the future.
What?! none of that makes a lick of sense. no wonder you enjoy twilight.
Twilight became the office rage as well has Harry Potter– my boss read the entire first harry potter on his way to london and read the second one on his way back from london. lolol
we enjoy having these fun office discussions. you don't have to be a child to enjoy it.
Yes you do
its wild tangent time..turn on your tv and go play
Nice to know you work in an office full of imbeciles.
-
the first 2 were the best –
Twilight fans like me will always go see any film with the twilight stars in it. notjust because we like twilight because they are all wonderful actors. and with hope the writer of twilight will make another book sooo that another movie can be made. anyone who doesnt like the sound of that can go play in traffic and cry me a river bulid me a bridge and get over themmselves for not understanding the meaning of twilight from the words of a 12 year old
This is funny because twilight sounds like it's been written by a 12 year old. Their values will drop once twilight is gone though.
like Melrose Place...that use to be our Tuesday morning recap.
Natalike draws in the Jewish vote.
This list is quite meaningless. I'm sure Sam Wiwicky's mom or dad (from Transformers) would score somewhere around $1 million for every dollar paid.
Too true! LOL!
Well, as long as some tween thinks they have some talent, Kristen, Taylor, Pattinson will have work. It's easy to fool a tween.
Jack Klugman should be on that list
You didn't read or understand the point of the article, did you.
Eric Balfour from skyline, that guy will always have work
Luis Guzman, hands down.
Ok, so get Natalie Portman and Kristen Stewart to play a couple of Pirate Wenchs out to show up Black Beard (Dwayne Johnson).........come on Hollywood.....there is money to be made.......oh and make it a comedy !
Natalie seems very talented.
with natalie - she always minds her manners unless you push - once you push...and are disloyal she will drive you out of your mind by talking and talking and talking and talking.
natalie basically doesn't say much ...it just needs to be that 1 thing that will set her off and she will talk to you until your having a thought process about wanting to jump off a ledge....she does not need liquor or chemicals to do this.
She should be on the top of that list. She is an amazing actor. There are others on that list that are one trick ponies, but not her.
You obviously didn't read the article or understand it. This isn't a subjective list of your favorite actors. This is an objective list that simply compares rate of return of an actor's salary against the movie's total revenue. This is a mathematical formula. The list shows what the return on investment is for the studio in comparison to what the actor was paid to do the movie.
Reading comprehension is fundamental.
she appears allergic to her eyeliner
And that is a problem .... why ?
Sorry, i got a drible of me jlzz in 'er eye
That's a messed up thing to say, mate.
