'Les Misérables' tops Christmas box officeLucky for “Les Misérables,” it seems moviegoers were in the mood for music this Christmas. Tom Hooper’s adaptation of the Broadway musical grossed about $17.5 million at the box office, beating other new releases such as “Django Unchained” and “Parental Guidance,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. Quentin Tarantino’s “Django,” which has received rave reviews from movie critics, despite Spike Lee’s disapproval, earned at least $14 million. As The Hollywood Reporter points out, “Django” had the biggest Christmas Day opening for an R-rated film to date. “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” nabbed third place with $10.8 million, while the Billy Crystal- and Bette Midler-starrer “Parental Guidance” came in fourth, earning about $7 million. |

Broadway was much better–
Got watched it online here http://bit.ly/12OMvDJ
This is remarkable movie that can defitnely move a person to tears. I was not expecting much but this really blew me away but their incredible acting singing and shows great morals such like persevearance leadership and standing up to their own rights even though it may lead to death. But to me, it also had its dragging moments where made me think 'get on with it' even so an absolutely wonderful show and i recommend everyone to watch it.
hands down....broadway was much better then the film
um,,I think Gavroche, the young little boy who sang before he died, was very cute!!!
he was,,just full of confidence,,somewhat insolent, but I think he was just brave
I thought Anna Hathaway was very good, however, I think the best two performances were from Hugh Jackman, and Eddie Redmayne.
we loved every minute of it
Thought it SUCKED BEYOND BELIEF - ALL EXCEPT FOR ANNE HATHAWAY'S PERFORMANCE, WHICH IS OSCAR WORTHY. But everything else...SUCKED!!!!
People with a loving heart will surely love this show because it's all about love.
Saw Le mis yesterday. The most amazing movie ever!!!! Not a dry eye in the house. Academy award for Hugh Jackman and Ann Hathaway!!!!
yes i most certainly agree it was a great movie.the music was great and hugh jackman played this role perfectly
Topping at the box office vs. WHAT? What is there to compete against? Garbage vs. Garbage. They should have made a Terminator Musical.
Seamonster, have you seen the movie before opening your big mouth??! It is a masterpiece!!!'
Le Misreablesmarble. Gun control for the miserablesmarbles.
what did the actor say–ipod asap
I didn't like when they kept saying the N Word. Also I didn't like how they treated our peoples on it. We all applauded at the end when Django got the white devils.
Theater I went to was packed, and people were applauding after some of the songs (especially Anne Hathaway's "I Dreamed A Dream") and applauded at the end. It was almost like being at a live performance, people were so into it. A wonderful movie, well deserving of the attention it's receiving.
Theater here was packed. Not a dry eye in the house and applause at the end. Everyone should see this movie but I suggest they first learn about the historical events that inspired Victor Hugo to write the book back in 1862.
let me call a 1800 number and hang up..haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
be careful
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAA
First there is a word for people like you people on this page RACIST!!!!! If you do not like what is on this page do not read it!! I saw the movie yesterday and it was great!!!

Plz excuse Chelsea. It is not who it is pretending to be. No minority witg any self respect would post something like that. It is a troll.
A group of us attended Les Miserables yesterday and we all felt it was one of the best movies we have ever seen!
The opera to movie screen is phenomenal and the acting/singing is fantastic. Wow! We came out of there amazed!
Go see it. CNN did not give it a rave review but the audiences will. CNN missed the mark on praising this movie.
Some violence so perhaps 12 and older audience only. Les Miserables: Fantastique!
a group of us saw les mis...what a performance.
i want to see django unchained
So whats if I don't want to waste no ten dollar on no movie. That don't mean I don't have no money. I gots mad cash. Me and my omies drink Gatorade ever y day. And eat at Micky Ds. Double double quarta pounders with extra cheese.
Am not. I'm a Chinese guy. I like everyone.
EVerytime i come on to this website i read something from a white racist!
It was the biggest draw at the movies yesterday. Django was pretty empty.
Right....when instead we can watch the "Bed Intruder" spectacle on YouTube. There seems to be plenty of "free" entertainment coming from those who are not white. Sound racist? Good.
Least it's funny. Enjoy your "white" entertainment . Just like your people it's bland pale and boring .
I´m white I´ll go to see Les Misérables, and Django with Jammie Foxx.Open your mind
This is the most absurd comment I have ever read. It speaks highly for your people!!!
Sigh...if you don't stop posting an' git back to dem cotton fields, massa gonna whoop you good!
