Report: Daniel Bruhl to star in Wikileaks movie

Daniel Bruhl is reportedly set to star in the forthcoming untitled Wikileaks movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Reports say that the “Inglourious Basterds” actor has replaced James McAvoy in the role of Daniel Domscheit-Berg, the author of the book “Inside WikiLeaks” and Julian Assange’s No. 2.

Rumors swirled that McAvoy would star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch’s Assange, however, he'll be busy filming “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” which is expected to bow in 2014.

THR reports that “The West Wing” writer Josh Singer has adapted the script for the Wikileaks movie, to be directed by Bill Condon (“Dreamgirls” and “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Parts 1 and 2”).
