"Guilty Pleasures Week" concluded on "Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars" Wednesday with a rousing four-couple freestyle set to Psy's "Gangnam Style."
Despite the hopes of my colleague Jarrett Bellini, it appears the viral sensation has a few minutes of fame left in it. On Andy Warhol's 15-minute scale, I'll clock "Gangnam Style" at 11:57.
Tuesday also featured the four couples who participated in Monday's "Call Me Maybe" freestyle as they ran through their individual routines. It was a big night for actress/singer Sabrina Bryan, whose "Cinderella" waltz garnered a 29 (out of 30) from the fickle judges. Click on the above video to hear from the stars about the two-night guilty pleasure frenzy.
Melissa Rycroft, who's bouncing back from a neck injury, performed a tango to "Toxic" with partner Tony Dovolani that didn't exactly blow the judges away, or make Carrie Ann Inaba fall out of her chair. (Darn.)
Backstage, Rycroft told us that she felt something snap during rehearsals on Sunday, and that "apparently some disc fluid leaked out at that moment and that was what I felt." The production team is super cautious, she went on, so an ambulance was called.
"They had to go and get the MRI and I’m glad they did. I didn’t know it was as serious as it was," Rycroft said. "I had no idea ... Tony and I were just grateful that we got the OK from the neurosurgeon and we were able to just go out and finish the night.”
What'd you think of Tuesday night's "DWTS" episode?
That looks great, but can it really work at all? Seen too much of this previously but still a good idea.
Horse riding looks fun and enjoyable but it is a skillful job. For a smooth ride, both horse and the rider need to strike the right balance. It is important for a rider to follow a horse’s motion and stay in balance, if not you will end up gripping the horse with your thighs, clinging on to him by holding their calves etc. if this creates some unbalance in the horse’s motions, his ability to turn would get affected..*,'

Psy likened the Gangnam District to Beverly Hills, California, and said in an interview that he intended in a twisted sense of humour by claiming himself to be "Gangnam Style" when everything about the song, dance, looks, and the music video is far from being such a high class."*

i'll be there....very thrilled for mishy and thrilled for me!
I watched many different Gangnam Style videos before last night's performance, and I was really disappointed. They had the imagery of Psy's music video, but not much of the dance moves. And it truly is a dance. It's very similar to line dancing.
There's a video on Youtube with five Korean girls and I think they show off the actual dance the best.
My favorite of the copycat's is West Point, but all the military copycats are fun. And there's even a flashmob Gangnam Style from Indonesia... It's truly amazing how this dance has caught everybody in a spirit of FUN.
And yes, the Dancing with the Stars version was Fun, but it wasn't actually very good. I was hoping they would knock it out of the Park, since the dancing on that show is so awesome.
But for once I understood Len very well... when he complained that Darrell Hough's Rumba was lovely, but it wasn't a Rumba... I felt the same way about Gangnam Style: it was fun, but it wasn't Gangnam Style. There was too much other stuff thrown in, other dance moves that didn't fit the flavor of the Gangnam Style dance.
The judges' scoring was ridiculous this week. Kelly Monaco at the bottom and praise for Kirstie Alley? Give me a break. Kelly's a great dancer and Kirstie is a clumsy oaf. She should be gone this week. And what was Gilles (who I love) thinking when he picked Maks and Kirstie for his team? She's a klutz, clumsy and was off time during the team performance. He should have picked Apolo and Karina and they would have had higher scores. Sabrina Bryan is a good dancer, but I didn't think that Cinderella number was all that and to put her at the top of the leader board. Good but not that good.
Pro Dancer and Bianca... You can't be for real!!!!
I don't even watch now that Brustol is gone. She was like an elegant swan. The rest of the dancers are like water buffalo stomping their flat feet.
Agreed. 1000 percent. Bristol Palin is a SuperStar. I've never even heard of the other so called dancers.
For such a fan of "Brustol", I'd expect you to be able to spell her name.
What are you doing?? Trolling for trouble? This is silly.
