While you were working ...

Today's news you might've missed:

  • We know you're going to hate us for this but we're going to do it anyway: CBS' Sherlock Holmes series getting a full season pickup? That's "Elementary," dear Watson. We can't say the same about "Vegas," though, but mainly because we haven't been keeping up with it. Have you guys? [Vulture]
  • Is this why there weren't any 'N Sync songs playing at Justin Timberlake's wedding party? Because three of the group's members, including JC Chasez (who had another wedding to go to that weekend) weren't there? This is tearing up our hearts and a hope for a reunion tour, guys. [TMZ]
  • James Cameron's going to probably make a boat-load (no Titanic) of money off his adaptation of "The Informationist" ... but he has to wade his way through those "Avatar" sequels first. [EW]
  • We're positive Brad Pitt was laughing with us through all of those spoofs of his Chanel No. 5 commercial - including the excellent one "SNL" did over the weekend - but this one starring a dog has got to hurt the man's pride. Well, more than saying "my luck, my fate, my fortune - Chanel No. 5, inevitable," already has. [People]
  • Oh and look, a new "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" featurette! Is it just us, or is "The Twilight Saga" working overtime to remind us that this movie's coming out in a few weeks?

The bride wore pink, and the groom returned to music

The details of the Biel-Timberlake wedding just keep on giving.

For starters, word has it that Jessica Biel went non-traditional with her wedding gown, and wore a pink-tinged dress with a "princess-like silhouette" instead of the usual white. (The theme for the wedding decor, meanwhile, was essentially all white everything, Us Weekly reports.)

Ellen DeGeneres honored with Mark Twain prize

Washington, D.C. had a busy night on Monday. While politicos were tuned in to the presidential debate at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, the artsy set was busy celebrating Ellen DeGeneres at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

The 54-year-old comedian and daytime talk show host was honored as the 15th recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, an award given to those who've made an impact on American society with their work, as Twain did. Tina Fey, Bill Cosby and Will Ferrell are among the past recipients.

'DWTS' judge takes a fall on live show

Nothing much was expected ahead of Monday's first round of performances on "Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars." There won't be any eliminations this week due, in part, to Monday's truncated format.

Four of the eight remaining teams performed individual dances last night, with the others participating in a group freestyle. That included injured "DWTS" contestant Melissa Rycroft, who suffered "a herniated disc" in her upper neck after Sunday's rehearsals, People magazine reports.
