The latest 'DWTS: All-Stars' elimination is ...

It's the end of the road for one of the most talked about and controversial celebrities on "Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars."

Bristol Palin received the heave-ho from viewers on Tuesday night's telecast, despite garnering strong reviews from the judges Monday for her "rock and roll" choreography.

Palin's pro partner, Mark Ballas, talked to CNN after the show. Watch the video above to see what he had to say about Palin's end on "DWTS: All-Stars," and what it was like to work with the 21-year-old activist and TV personality.

What did you think of Tuesday night's elimination?  Did the right celebrity go home?

I fault DWTS for her. She was just going for the money which i don't blame her. The first time i guess fine she was on. She got those votes because she is Palin's daughter, but the second time they invited her back was a no no. This was supposed to be the best dancers from all seasons and she was definitely not one of them. She should not have been invited back to steal votes from the better dancers. it was not fair. Brandy, Jennifer Grey, Laila ALi, Ian Zeiring, just to name a couple of the fantastic dancers they could have had there besides her. I want GIlles to have that mirror ball like he should have had even though Shawn was great too. She's still great.

The show has gone downhill fast. The format of voting mocks the judges, professional dancers and average viewers. Many loyal fans have been turned away because the good couples got eliminated early. The "So you Think You Can Dance" show is eating DWTS lunch. The judges in "So You Think You Can Dance" give credibility to the show and the show absorbs the use-to-be DWTS fans. The performance by the couples in "So you Think you Can Dance" is entertaining and inspirational. DWTS producers pick whiners and spoiled brats for their show. If DWTS does not change their format and voting system, in just couple of years, the show will be history. If their producers, advertisers spend time in looking at the comments from audiences, they should know that this is the end of the show's life. It is time for them to start to look for a new show for advertisements. I would if I were the advertisers.

Ive watched both shows and its really a matter to taste and preference. DWTS was originally designed as a ballroom dance show with STARS, not merely controversal persons- to me ballroom dancing requires a recognizable partner, and doesnt necessarily require a lifetime of gymnastic practice. Its very telling that Len has to repeatedly remind the pros and partners that it is a ballroom dance show. Over the seasons, many of the ballroom pros have gone on to other things and been replaced with younger pros that tend to favor the contemporary movements. Justin Beiber is a huge singer, as well as LMFOA {?} but neither sing anything that can be considered Ballroom, so what makes them appropriate entertainers for this show? I probably wont watch many more seasons if the current trend continues and it isnt because of the judging or the dances, but because it has drifted so far from the original concept that brought me to watch the show in the first place including the viewers who think its a popularity contest instead of a dance contest.

Bristol got voted off because she is lazy and while the judges kept telling the contestants that they wanted them to push themselves and bring something new to the table, Bristol was whining about doing something "easier" and playing it "safe". Can't win a mirrored ball like that.

I'm most definitely not a Tea Party affiliate or a fan of Sara Palin by no means. But we have to be realistic here and give credit, where credit is deserved...from her first appearance in DWTS, Bristol did improve a lot, not a perfect dancer, but she did improve.

I was a bit taken back in the previous episode when she kinda blamed Sabrina and Shawn, for her short-comings in dancing; but I don't think she really meant it in any ill-way; she was just emotional and distracted.

I think there is something that we are all still trying to deal with, and that is the fact that Sabrina and Mark were not given the chance to take over where they left-off, after that ridiculous elimination back in Season 5. Please don't misunderstand me, I think and feel that Sabrina is doing very well with Louis Van-Amstel, he is an awesome dancer too...but the reality is that we were all expecting to see Sabrina back with Mark, in order to redeem themselves. Have anyone noticed how nervous Mark was getting everytime he saw Sabrina and Louis been put in jeopardy? He really does care that Sabrina be given a fair chance this time around, and that's what we all need to focus on.

Please remember don't forget to cast your votes for Sabrina and Louis; make sure that she gets the chance that she was cheated off from Season 5.

  13. SadDay for America

Now that the symbol for Tea Party and Bristol's mother's power is over, the TV show is back to just a TV show. It s sad to see that a political group clearly shows off their power by controlling what America see in a TV show.
Bristol was selected purely due to the popularity and power of her mother. It shows America that this group of people has the power to control everything you do, you see. What is next they will control? May be what you eat in your dinner table! Other stars, even they may not know how to dance, they earned their position in the show themselves. Not Bristol, she had her position offered just because she is the daughter of a very power woman. It just shows that if you come from a powerful family, you have the privileges automatically. Whereas everyone else has to earned their privileges. This is clearly demonstrated in this season's DWTS.

I agree 100% with you. From the very beginning I was disappointed with this so called popularity contest rather than a dancing contest. Ms Palin is not a dancer. She has a long way to go before she becomes one. When the race car driver was eliminated last week, I wanted to cry. My thought was – is Palin a better dancer than he is? Furthermore I feel that the score the general public offers the contestant should not be 1/2 their total score. I think it should be 1/4 the total.

Look...the show is Dancing with the Stars. Not Dancing with the Actors. Bristol is a star (or celebrity if you will) in her field. Over the seasons, there have been many that should not have been there (Buzz Aldren, Carson Cressley, Kate Gosslin all come to mind off the top) . If you all use that same logic that everyone is gripping about then people like Helio, Krirsti Yamaguchi, Emmitt Smith, Pamela Anderson and Shawn Johnson should not be there either. None of them are stars in my mind as many of you seem to define the term 'Star'. However, the way I see it they are all stars in their own pursuits...well may be not Carson. Compared to those I mentioned, Bristol is by far better than many of them. She constantly improved and put in a sincere effort each week.

The 2 reasons she is not liked much is 1) she is a Palin...so what, she is not her mother. 2) most of you are uneducated as to who she is and what she does. Not to mention that you all are too focused on politics at the moment and are putting her on her mothers shirt tails and not allowing her to stand on her own stead. Take some time to understand what she is about and what she stands for...don't assume.

Personally, the only reason that she is off now is that she did not have the following that some of the others have. Why is that? If you all think you can do better then get off you couch potato butts and start dancing yourself.

Seriously??? This is the most lame post I have ever seen. Shawn Johnson and Buzz Aldrin should not even be compared to Bristol Palin. How can you compare a Gold medal Olympian and an astronaut to a daughter of a former vp candidate that did what again??? She was horrible and never deserved to be on the show....not a star not an actor .

Bristol Palin a star in her "field"? What field is that? Her reality tv show was an unmitigated disaster. She is best known for throwing temper tantrums after being thrust into the political spotlight for being an unwed mother from a "family values" Republican family. For many people she ranks below the Kardashians, Jersey shore hooligans, and will probably wind up on a "Real Housewives" someday with 2 inches of makeup, two feet of hair, and a screaming baby in tow. She certainly didn't lend any credibility to DWTS.

Now that Bristol is gone, I will watch DWST again. Before this week, the show was all about Tea Party supporters and Bristol's mother. It was a contest for Bristol's mother, not about Bristol herself. How sad! I wish Bristol well, it is difficult to always live under the protection and shadow of her powerful and beautiful mother. She has a lot to catch up with her competent and gorgeous mother. Bristol, good luck and best wishes.

Bristol should have been smart enough to realize after the first time that she was no dancer. Seriously, she could not dance and had zero personality. She knew she was bad, that is why she boo hooed without a tear to Mark about his wishing for another partner.
Since she seems to be so untalented, let's give her a reality show. She's A SPOKESPERSON for unwed mothers and obviously has no education, so let's glorify her.

My 6 year old granddaughter dances better and I have a hell of a personality; and I am not famous. Being an unwed mother mde her "famous" because of who her "mother" is. There are millions of unwed mothers who would love to be an "activist" for abstanance ecause they need the money. She didn't. Get me an "urban" single mother/father to inform teens to not to this.

Bristol may have been considered a celebrity, but she certainly wasn't a dancer and should never have been included in this version of DWTS. Obviously she was there because of ratings and the camera always managed to show Sarah Palin and her group. Some of the previous mirror ball winners were voted off earlier and their dancing was far superior to Bristol's.

Many agree with you that there was a "political motivation" in inviting Ms. Palin to be a Star, and it was annoying to have the viewers subjected to many shots of Mama Palin smiling each time the cameras focused on her, when the other contestants' families or supporters were not given equal attention. Bristol was displayed as whining and immature in many rehearsal scenes, making her presence unbecoming, and surely didn't help the viewers to be supportive.

I can't believe someone thinks this is racial discrimination. Political discrimination, maybe, but it has zero to do with the color of her skin. But let's get real - it's not discrimination, either. She was voted off because she's a poor dancer. She gave it a shot, and it takes a lot of courage to dance on national television if you're not a dancer, but she's definitely no dancer.

There have been a number of people on this show who I have never even heard of – yet I don't recall hearing any of the hateful remarks about them that I have about Bristol Palin. I'm not a fan of her or her mother, but it seems like the hatred for her mom was passed on to the daughter. It's just a show!!! Anyone that has ever watched this show with any regularity knows it is a popularity contest – the contestants with the most fans get the votes (remember the cheetah girl that got voted off way too early?? Apparently no one knew her or voted for her). As far as her coming back – they must be desperate for contestants. Guess that explains Pamela Anderson's return too.

That being said; she had no business on the first show let alone make it as far as she did because she never improved. She was to slow, couldn't spin, twirl, etc. It was her mother's popularity that kept this kid on the show. Don't for get she was paid $250,00 for it. The longer you stay on this show the more money you make. She moved in with a guy (some abstance rep huh), brought a house in AZ (alledgely to get away from mom), sold the house, and now has a reality show that is faultering. She needs the money, again.
