How much has 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' made in advance ticket sales?

Advance tickets to "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" just went on sale Monday, but they've already brought in $1.17 million in sales, reports E! Online.

That total was amassed in just one day, showing (unsurprisingly) that fans are really, really eager to see how this five-film saga will end.

Interestingly enough, though, ticket sales for "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" are outpacing sales for 2011's "Part 1," which earned $626,000 in its first day of advance ticket availability.

But around a quarter of those purchasing admission are signing up for a marathon dose of "Twilight," opting to sit through the previous four films ahead of the fifth, "Breaking Dawn - Part 2."

The beginning of the end starts November 16.

"One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."
Why do people waste their money on this franchise?? The books and the movies are boring. Yes I read the books to find out what the big deal was – nothing. I tried to watch the movies on cable because my friends wanted to watch it, ended up playing games, checking emails on my phone. Seriously people, why??

Probably because they enjoy being entertained and are not quite as cynical as you, maria.
