Bruno Mars releases single, prepares for 'SNL'

Following in the footsteps of Mick Jagger, Justin Timberlake and Jennifer Lopez, among others, Bruno Mars will play host and musical guest on an upcoming episode of “Saturday Night Live,” NBC confirms.

“Im so amped i cant stand still!” Mars tweeted on Monday.

The Grammy Award winner’s tweet could have been in reference to the October 20 episode of NBC’s sketch comedy show, or the release of his new tune.

Mars debuted “Locked Out of Heaven,” the first single off his second studio album, on Monday during a live YouTube chat with fans. “Unorthodox Jukebox” will be released on December 11.

NBC also announced that Daniel Craig will host “SNL” on Saturday, with Muse as the musical guest. Christina Applegate will host the October 13 episode, with performances by electropop band Passion Pit.

Granted it has that upbeat Police-esque 80's vibe, but it's actually similar to The Outfields and Men at Work (mixed with a bit of MJ). And funny you say "anymore", since Sting has admitted to copying the melody of Bob Marley's 'No Woman No Cry' for 'So Lonely'.

Is he a Mexican? He sure looks Mexican to me. I hope he doesn't start talking in some foreign jibber jabber language only illegals can understand.
