Last Wednesday, Jesse Tyler Ferguson not only revealed that he was engaged - with what had to be the most adorable proposal of all time - but he also showed off a new fashion venture for a cause.
He and his fiance, Justin Mikita, have started a foundation called Tie the Knot, which advocates for "a more stylish and equal America" with a collection of limited edition bow-ties.
As the "Modern Family" star explains in the clip below, proceeds from the bow-ties will go toward organizations that are fighting for marriage equality - and they also make a nice addition to a red carpet tux, as Ferguson showed on the Emmys red carpet Sunday night.
The actor is nominated in the best supporting actor in a comedy category, and is facing off against his fellow male "Modern Family" co-stars, in addition to "New Girl's" Max Greenfield and "Saturday Night Live's" Bill Hader.
"Modern Family" is off this week, but Ferguson noted that he's hoping they'll eventually make their way to Colombia to meet the family of Sofia Vergara's character, Gloria.
thats bad karma–you never wish a bad marriage on anyone..if you are that unhappy you may have to rethink your future with this person.
"Marriage Equality"? Okay, I wish everyone's marriage sucks as much as mine did.
