bad scripts again..nothing original ..the usually that everyone knows about.
the show is not well scripted anymore.
big band theory and modern family are no poorly scripted.
The Big Bang and Modern Family are both basically unwatchable for anyone with a 80+ IQ, which I think speaks volumes as to who chooses these "winners"...
Actually you must be very intelligent to understand Big Bang Theory. The reason it didn't win is the dialog is over the head's of the voters. The average fan has an IQ over 130.
As usual, a bunch of awards go to shows I wouldn't watch. Not that it's particularly surprising this time around, since I only like one TV show airing right now, and I can stand to watch another maybe half dozen if I'm too tired to work on something.
Homeland, Veep, Jon Stewart, and Game Change... a lot of political commentary is hot, I see. yawn.
i love the big bang theory...i cold watch that for hours also.
Parsons won last year. Can't feel too bad about that, right?
bloggers stop watching so much tv.
What a disappointmet! Only shows I never watch or ever heard of won. Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik should have won for TBBT (best show EVER!) I can watch reruns over and over. "A tiara!" And, of course, Peter Dinklage in "Game of Thrones! should have won. Now there is a good evolver! Keep up the good work Jim, Mayim and Peter. You have many fans out there in TVland
Peter Dinklage won last year. Can't feel bad about that.
After reading the number of comments here from people who didn't even know what show they were commenting on (Modern Family is NOT an animated show about a talking dog and a cigar-smoking kid, Downton Abbey is an outstanding drama with a huge audience on both sides of the pond, and Kevin Costner did NOT talk to a chair during the GOP convention), I am no longer surprised by the sheer idiocy of the American TV watching public.
there is no proof of any rigging going on.
The more I see the results from these so called award shows, the more I think that they are mostly rigged to get us to watch what's failing. Really? I've barely heard of some of the winners, let alone think they are the best of their categories.
workers are working, you?
Where's Workaholics? Funniest show on TV these days, is it too blue for these people, or are there not enough gay people in it for them to even consider it?
they won.
Modern Family is a giant steaming pile of crap. Any awards show that doesn't honor Boardwalk Empire or The Big Bang Theory is completely irrelevant.
The public voted for Kevin and he deserved the award. He has directed and produced some the greatest movies in history and he may win the Oscar again. hope so.
Oh my God-I'm so excited I want to urinate on the floor. I can hardly contain myself. I have no life.
love kevin kostner...he is almost 60 years old, whatever he does is a hit. he's a real movie star
I liked kevin Costner until he did the thing at the Republican National Convention. You know, where he talked to the empty chair.
if you want a black man then go for it. you've posted your fantasy 2,000 times in 5,346 different ways.
no its not a BBC show.
The whole show is just way too long. There are too many overlapping categories. It's a huge Hollywood circle jerk.
Is Downton Abbey a BBC show? Never even heard of it.
It's on PBS. A pretty good show. You should try it.
If it's on PBS, you'd better hope Romney doesn't win the presidency. He's already said that he wants to get rid of PBS. There will go that show, Sesame St, and others.
TBBT rox!!! The whole cast is so great together!!! Can't wait to see Penny & Sheldon hook up......oops!......Cat out of the bag......
John Cryer works very hard on two and a half men and was always in the shadow of charlie sheen.
I'm very happy John is a winner
Seriously, John cryer over Jim Parson!! John cryer is not acting, he is just being his snivelling little self!
if you allow a producer to threaten the actor with finance bully control..then you need to question your relationship with the studio and or end further contract negotiations.
I think they should put the public network channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) into separate categories than their pay channel (HBO, et al) counterparts. The pay channels are allowed to stretch characters and stories so much more as they are not hampered by sensors and commercial sponsors. Thus, their actors have to reach deeper and be more skillful. Therefore the pay channel actors will win when put up against public network counterparts. Of course there are exceptions like Modern Family but in the list above, since I don't subscribe to pay channels, I've never even seen 80% of these shows/winner.
Animated series like Modern Family should not even be considered. They are cartoon characters. Not actors.
it won. somebody is watching.
Umm Keith is either a troll or an idiot. Modern Family is not an animated show. What the heck are you talking about?
Are you thinking of Family Guy?
Keith is being sarcastic, People, and he's not wrong. He knows it's not really an animated show, it just feels like one.
jessica lange i never found appealing in terms of acting she has the same style of acting strategy that never works.
she's quite boring.
are white.
sorry modern family wins for me ...
Bryan Cranston should have won Best Lead Actor IMO. The episode he submitted for consideration was just amazing. If you don't watch Breaking Bad, check it out. At least look up Crawl Space Breaking Bad on Youtube.
i knew modern family was going to win...congrats.
Louis CK was robbed!!

.
I'm SO glad I quit watching TV like 10 years ago.
.
.
And yet you still took the time to read this article and comment on it.
I don't understand why you would comment on this article. Are you saying that you think you have insight to a process/event that you became willfully ignorant of?
Dont feed the trolls guys
YAAAY for Jessica Lange, “American Horror Story” — WINNER. It was the strangest show ever and really good. She did an incredible awesome job.
wow – I feel sorry for you bitter people.
The Emmys. lol
I watched the red carpet for ten minutes than threw up after hearing an actress boast about what dress she was wearing and what earrings. Must be fun to only worry about what designer you are going to wear. Yes, jealous. Anyway, New Girl should of won, Max Greenfield should of won, and 2 broke girls should of been nominated. Maybe next year.
It's not "should of" it's SHOULD HAVE!! What a moron!
Jeff, you should have included a comma in your first sentence. Also, it is incorrect to have two exclamation marks. You must also be a moron.
You're both morons!
Same faces and winners every freaking year...all white. they did throw out a couple of bones, Idris Elba and Don Cheadle, Elba did win one year but that was it. I think Kunal Nayyar of the Big Band Theory should be nominated and win in supporting actor in a comedy. BTW, Modern Family sucks
I agree. Modern Family is the worst show ever. A cartoon about a baby that smokes cigars and a talking dog. It is just tooooo dumb. Everytime I see that kid named Stewie it makes me sick.
Why would anyone with a functioning brain vote for someone based on their skin color? hahahaha. I think I denote a little racism going on there, Diana.
Diana, chill out. Stop posting your bitter comments all over the blogs. Take a midol.
modern family is one of the best show on television
alec baldwin wins every year.
