The Kardashian family may not be welcome on the White House TVs, but we're betting that Beyonce is.
President Obama attended a fundraiser hosted by the 31-year-old singer and her husband Jay-Z on Tuesday night in New York City. At the event, which took place at Jay's 40/40 Club, Obama reaffirmed his love for the superstar pair.
"To Jay and Bey, thank you so much for your friendship," Obama said, according to Politico. About 100 arrived at the fundraiser, shelling out $40,000 per person.
The President joked that he has a few things in common with Jay-Z, such as their family life: "We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are," Obama said, giving a nod to Blue Ivy, naturally. "So, you know, we've got a little bond there. It's hard, but it's OK."
He then bestowed high praise on Jay's wife, telling the crowd gathered that "Beyonce could not be a better role model for my girls." In fact, he added,"Michelle, Sasha and Malia are mad at me because they're not here."
