Stars honor 9/11 ... while 'Today' talks KardashiansOn the 11th anniversary of September 11, 2001, a number of more famous names joined in the outpouring of tributes for those lost in the attacks that changed all of our lives, "star" or not. But while singer Michelle Williams, Josh Duhamel, Ellen DeGeneres, Michael Phelps and "Modern Family's" Sarah Hyland shared that they would #neverforget, NBC's "Today" show has been accused of foregoing a moment of silence in order to talk to Kardashian family ringleader Kris Jenner.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, NBC was the sole "big three" broadcast network with a morning show that didn't air a moment of silence in memory of 9/11. While ABC's "Good Morning America" and CBS' "CBS This Morning" cut into their programming to show live coverage of Manhattan's 9/11 memorial, THR reports, NBC's "Today" aired an interview with Kris Jenner about "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" and her breast implants. However, an NBC rep said in a statement to Politico that the network's morning program "dedicated a considerable amount of time to September 11th coverage this morning throughout the entire show." In a way, Kris acknowledged the anniversary of 9/11 on her Twitter account, as she retweeted a user who informed her:
Meanwhile, Kris's daughter Kim posted to her own account a link to a blog item that recalls where she was when the tragedy happened. "We all remember where we were when we heard the news," Kim tweeted with the link."#Remember911." And she wasn't the only one:

It IS sad. This woman has NOTHING to offer our world. Nor do her daughters. How in the H*LL did they get to be in a celebrity status when they're not even celebrities?!?

From now on I am not watching any show, or reading any article, that has a Kardashian in it. Over exposed drivel is dead and they can go the way of Paris Hilton – back into obscurity. So from now on write what you want, but you won't have me viewing your advertisements. I urge others to follow suit and raise the collective IQ of the planet.

I amseriously disappointed inthe Today show. One moment of silence...would that have hurt? I don't think so, your ratings are so bad now that anything would have helpe except for what you put on. Nobody really cares about the Kardshian's anyway. Somebody had their priorities in the wrong place. God..how dumb!

Disgusting. The idea that a nobody "star's" boobs is more important than paying respect to 9/11 victims is just disgusting. Yet another reason for me not to watch the "Today" show.
Such a shame that NBC believes that the publicity hungry Jenner/Kardashian family deserves more respect than the moment that changed America forever. Really? The shallow, superficial discussion about breast implants couldn't wait for "a moment of silence"? This family is a cancer on America. Jenner Communications must be lining the pockets of NBC/Today/E, etc., etc.

I don't think anybody considers the Today show, as a news program. More fluff, than anything. If you watched MSNBC, they devoted the whole morning to a 7/11 memorium.
well you have understand the logic your dealing with...the station is basically button pushers so thats how they get their rating count. we all know this we see it every single day....what was the rating today like 30?
It's the reason why NBC is losing viewers. Their priorities are shallow, from the over payed hosts, to their very expensive clothing, to the way they treat women on that show. They have become embarrassing to watch.

went to st. partricks cathederal today for 9/11 mass. when we were downtown we would go st. paul's which is downtown broadway. i remember that morning like it happened yesterday.
