Our favorite performances from 'The Voice' premiere"The Voice" returned Monday night with some serious talent in store ... and we're not just talking about the judges, who took a moment to remind us that they're also musicians with a performance of The Rolling Stones' "Start Me Up." Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, who all have to build 16-person teams this season, had plenty to choose from. Here are a few of our favorite performances:
De'Borah This singer from Chicago immediately won us over with her self-assured sense of style, and although her song choice was confusing - are we not over Train yet, America? - she sold it to us anyway. And if she could do that with "Hey, Soul Sister," imagine what she could do with a song we actually like? Christina Aguilera smartly snapped her up. Gracia Harrison We love how each season offers a few contenders that are clearly right up a particular judge's alley, and that was the case with yodeler and country crooner Gracia. Her performance of "I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart" was practically signed, sealed and delivered for Blake Shelton, and that's who she picked to be her mentor. Bryan Keith We also fell hard for Bryan Keith, the son of singer Ray de la Paz, whose from-the-gut rendition of Bruno Mars' "It Will Rain" landed him on Adam's team. Trevin Hunte And then, of course, there's Trevin - you know we couldn't forget about Trevin. His soaring vocals on "Listen" had three of the four judges battling to get him on their team. In the end he went with Cee Lo, making a nice addition to the cockatoo-loving judge's team. Those were our personal four favorites, but we can think of more that you'd likely add to the list, namely Terry McDermott. So what'd you think of "The Voice" premiere? Which singers would make your favorites list? |

Working at the airport in Nashville, I can tell you that she looks like a thousand typical clean, bright female travellers that pass through here each day. Get over yourselves, snobs.

you have to look the right part of a real cowgirl..and not be a slob
she looks ridiculous..what hair, white dress, and those stupid cowboy boots from 1985
she should have pulled her hair back, black dress and black boots...not this hillbilly sh-t
show was pretty good.
I felt so bad for that little hairdresser from ???? that cried when no one turned around, she was obviously very disappointed, but I really wish people would realize that an audition is a JOB interview, even a big one like "The Voice." Not everyone gets the job and if it is really something you want to do for your life's work don't carry on about how you now have to go back to your old life, sniffle, sniffle. Just get on with it, get more training and do better next time. Unless of course you really do suck. Then you're hooped. Just sayin.
trevin is doing a great job
Trevin was by far the best in the compition.......... His vocals were rivitting to the ear.
AGREED!!!! You know somebody is SINGING when you get goosebumps all over when they hit certain notes.
she needs to dress better to fit the part..she's a slob
Trevon was by far my favorite from last night. He gave such an amazing performance that I know he instantly made millions of fans last night. Win or lose I see him having a job in the music industry after the show. I was talking to a coworker at Dish about the show and her favorite was Gracia. I thought that she was really good, but country and yodeling are not exactly my style. I was freaking out last night when I realized I had missed the premier, but thankfully my Hopper automatically records it for Primetime Anytime. I am so glad that I caught it because the auditions have always been my favorite part of The Voice. There was so much talent last night; this is going to be a great season!
Great !
