'Lincoln' is a tease ... for nowWe've all seen Daniel Day-Lewis' incredible transformation into President Abraham Lincoln, and now a new clip is teasing us with just a bit more. And by "a bit," we mean a slight 44 seconds.
The Steven Spielberg-directed epic chronicles the end of the Civil War and Lincoln's struggle with his cabinet to bring an end to slavery. The trailer gives just the faintest hint of that plot, but it's really intended to whet your appetites for the full reveal later this week. On Thursday, Google+ will host a hangout with Spielberg and Joseph Gordon-Levitt at 7 p.m. ET to watch the trailer in full. The movie, which also stars Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones and David Oyelowo, opens in limited release November 9 before going wide November 16. |
