'Louie' and his 'Late Night' dreams

[This post contains spoilers for the August 30 episode of FX's "Louie."]

On the latest episode of “Louie,” the beleaguered comedian headed to Los Angeles. And as with so many saucer-eyed starlets before him, opportunity came knocking.

This episode defied Louie’s expectations as well as ours, replacing the usual intro with an acoustic ditty playing over a static shot of Hollywood’s famed Improv theater.

Lohan as Liz Taylor in new 'Liz & Dick' photos

Now that production on Lifetime's "Liz & Dick" has wrapped, the network has issued a few new photos of Lindsay Lohan as Dame Taylor and Grant Bowler as Richard Burton.

The film chronicles Taylor and Burton's larger-than-life love affair and tumultuous relationship. The first still released of Lohan and Bowler in character was a black-and-white photo that evoked old Hollywood glamour, and the new still shots offer full color examples of how well Lohan filled Taylor's shoes.

Tori Spelling gives birth to baby boy

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's "Home Sweet Hollywood" now has a new addition.

The couple, who've filmed six seasons of their family reality show, welcomed a baby boy on Thursday, according to Spelling's website.

Stars react to Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood isn't running for office, but his speech at the Republican National Convention Thursday has drawn just as much attention as anything Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said.

The 82-year-old actor's conversation with a chair, meant to symbolize an invisible President Obama, drew reactions from all sides, including plenty of jokes from his Hollywood contemporaries. Who knew a piece of furniture could elicit this much response?
