Seth MacFarlane, Frank Ocean headed for 'SNL'"Saturday Night Live" is starting off strong with its 38th (38th!) season this fall. NBC announced Wednesday that the late night sketch comedy show will be hosted by Seth MacFarlane, and will have a debut performance from critic-and-fan darling Frank Ocean, on its season premiere September 15.
And it only gets better from there: "Looper" star Joseph Gordon-Levitt will stop by on September 22 along with Mumford and Sons as the musical guest. It'll be the band's first time performing on "SNL." That'll be followed by Bond himself - a.k.a. Daniel Craig - on October 6, with Muse as the group on deck to perform. If you weren't already excited for the fall TV season to start, this should do the trick. |

SNL has gone down hill since the 80's and 90's. Back then, the actors actually took the time to learn their scripts. Nowadays, the "actors" make it obvious that they are reading the cue cards. I can't even watch it, it's so bad.

I've watched almost every SNL episode since the 70s. I will really miss Kristen Wiig but am ready to see some new episodes. Thanks again Lorne M!
I do think there's still real comedy talent out there. And SNL can still be great some nights. But the music groups that get on the show–pretty terrible.

I have to be honest, when I first heard there was a gay rapper, Frank Ocean wasn't what I had in mind for a good name. I think Big Wanye would have been far more suitable.
Frank Ocean is an R&B singer, not a rapper.

No. You just want it to be that way. He was very well liked before the gay thing hit. Only now are some fans jumping ship, just because of that.
He is a singer....but I honestly don't know if he is good or not....I tend to no longer listen to anything made after 1999. Music today is just plain garbage.
