When we were sending Rosie O'Donnell well wishes after her heart attack earlier this month, we should've also congratulated the newlywed.
In a post on her website Monday, O'Donnell revealed that she quietly tied the knot with fianceé Michelle Rounds in June.
The pair, who announced their engagement in December 2011, originally planned to marry in August, but had to move the date up after Rounds was diagnosed with desmoid tumors in June. In her post, O'Donnell described the condition as "a mysterious, rare - too often fatal disease that affects 3 in a million people."
The couple chose to exchange vows "in private before her surgery, just the two of us," on June 9.
The media personality herself has faced health-related hurdles, as she's recovering from a recent heart attack.
When they've both recuperated, O'Donnell and her new bride will "have the wedding of [our] dreams, surrounded by those we cherish," O'Donnell said. "When it rains ... things grow, like love and flowers ... humans too."
