Tony Scott's greatest cinematic contributions

Tony Scott’s films will be remembered long after his death.

The director and producer, 68, apparently committed suicide by jumping from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro, California, on Sunday, according to Lt. Joe Bale of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Known for flicks like “Top Gun” and “Man on Fire,” here are some of Scott’s greatest cinematic contributions:

1986’s "Top Gun"

1987’s “Beverly Hills Cop II”

1998’s “Enemy of the State”

2001’s “Spy Game”

2004’s “Man on Fire”

2010’s “Unstoppable”

WHEN A PERSON DECIDES TO HARM THEMSELVES, THIS IS SOMETHING THEY PLAN AND NO ONE CAN STOP THEM
UNLESS THEY WANT YOU TOO. FOR SURVIVING FAMILY MEMBERS, JUST KNOW HE MADE A DECISION ON HIS
OWN NOT WANTING TO LIVE. SOMETIME PEOPLE HAVE MENTAL ILLNESS OR SUFFER WITH DEPRESSION OR
ARE ILL. THEY BECOME CONSUMED WITH THEMSELVES NOT THINKING ABOUT HOW FAMILY OR OTHERS FEEL
THEY JUST WANT OUT...FAMILY MEMBERS ARE PERPLEXED WONDERING WHAT COULD I HAVE DONE..
SOMETIME THERE ARE WARNING SIGNS, BUT SOMETIMES THERE ARE NONE.
I THINK WE ARE LIVING AT A TIME WHERE, SOME FEEL THERE IS NO WAY OUT...BUT THERE REALLY IS.
TAKE LIFE A DAY AT A TIME, CONTROL WHAT YOU CAN AND WHAT YOU CAN'T LET IT GO....
TAKE DELIGHT IN WHAT YOU HAVE NOT WHAT YOU DON'T HAVE...AND JUST BECAUSE ONE
OR TWO PEOPLE MAY NOT LIKE YOU, THINK BIG THE WORLD IS BIG FULL OF HONEST LOVING
PEOPLE WHO WOULD BE GLAD TO HAVE YOU AS A REAL FRIEND....

While all of his movies were outstanding (in my opinion), Top Gun definitely takes the trophy. I first watched it while in high school in the mid 1990s and I was instantly hooked. It inspired me to become a pilot, a decision I have never regretted.

Who cares if he made some great fluff movies? He's a sack of crap that killed himself and left his family to deal with the mess. Typical hollywood wacko nutjob.
