Shia LaBeouf on sticking with indie filmsShia LaBeouf already made it clear that he won’t be involved in any forthcoming “Transformers” films, but it looks like his aversion to blockbusters runs deeper than Michael Bay’s billion-dollar franchise. “I'm done,” LaBeouf told The Hollywood Reporter. “There's no room for being a visionary in the studio system. It literally cannot exist.” The 26-year-old will next appear in “Lawless,” alongside Tom Hardy and Jessica Chastain. LaBeouf promoted the film, which hits theaters on August 29, at the Cannes Film Festival in May. “I fought for ‘Lawless.’ I didn't jump onto anyone else's coattail and ride their wave,” he said. Up next for the actor is Lars von Trier’s “Nymphomaniac.” (Nicole Kidman has reportedly signed on, as well.) LaBeouf told the magazine that he took the role because writer/director Von Trier is “dangerous. He scares me. And I'm only going to work now when I'm terrified.”
