Stevie Wonder files for divorceStevie Wonder is ending his 10-year marriage to Kai Millard Morris. The singer filed for divorce under his given name, Stevland Morris, his rep confirms to CNN.
“As this is a private and personal matter, he asks that the public and the media kindly respect the privacy of Kai, his children and family at this time,” the rep said. Wonder and his fashion designer ex, who famously dressed Michelle Obama in 2009, have two sons together. According to TMZ, Wonder has asked for joint custody of the boys. This will be the “Superstition” singer’s second divorce. He split with Motown songstress Syreeta Wright in 1972.

Little known story that may shed some light:

He is one of the few artist of all time who's has produced songs that are transcendent. Bach occasionally, maybe a few others. Some of his song affect me so, strongly, it is like some out of body spiritual experience.
I wish I could give him 1/1000 of the love he gives me in his songs to help him get through this.

I wonder what the divorce rate is amoung artist and celebs! I often wonder as a college student, how they manage a music careers and acting careers and family life. If your touring, or on a location trying to shoot a film what are the pitfalls that they encounter as it relates to spending time with family and friends. I know that there are familes that make it work however its got to be very difficult in my mind. I just found out that Will Smith has an older Son, WOW try manageing that, Husband and Wife both with movie careers, and the kids doing there thing as well. Thats got to be a major strain on the family time with eachother. I wish Mr.Wonder and His Ex-Wife the Best, I just hope that they can be FRIENDS for the sake of their children that are involved!
