While you were working ...

Today's news you might've missed:

  • Rapper The Game is back to living the single life - he and his fiancee have called off their wedding. "It's not her fault, it's mine! She's a GREAT woman, I just wasn't man enough 2 see it through," The Game tweeted. "Important message to all men: If you're lucky to have 1/2 of the woman I had... Appreciate her & do everything necessary to keep her happy ! I am truly sorry & apologetic to my family, friends & EVERYONE that this has affected & inconvenienced. Not everyone has a happy ending." [MTV]
  • We don't know what the outcome will be between "American Idol" and Adam Lambert, but in the meantime the "Idol" alum is headed to a different series: "Pretty Little Liars." [E!]

Sarah Paulson didn't sleep through her Emmy nom

Sarah Paulson was not one of those actresses who was caught restfully unaware of her Emmy nomination.

"I wasn't expecting it to happen, but I wasn't sleeping peacefully either," said Paulson, who was nominated for outstanding supporting actress for her performance as Nicole Wallace in HBO's "Game Change." "I don't want to make it sound like I was cool as a cucumber. I was hopeful, but I definitely wasn't sure it was going to happen." FULL POST

Emmy nominee Brenda Strong: Kathryn Joosten will always have my vote

When Brenda Strong ended her run as the voice of "Desperate Housewives" this year, she had to concentrate on not crying through her final lines.

"I sobbed," Strong recalled of saying good-bye to her character, Mary Alice. "It's hard to talk when you're crying, so I had to keep it together long enough to get through my final voice-over. Mary Alice has been such a magical part of my life, and it's such a unique role. I'm not a voice-over artist traditionally, so to have the opportunity to use one aspect of my instrument so specifically has been a challenge and a gift."
