Adele keeps mum on pregnancy – and we love itIn the reports surfacing this week that Adele might be further along in her pregnancy than previously presumed is another example of how the British chanteuse has turned into the anti-celebrity. In this day and age of paparazzi shots featuring massively pregnant stars teetering in heels, it’s refreshing to do a Google search for a pregnant Adele and come up with virtually nothing. But the singer isn't one to regularly soak in the limelight anyway. When she first burst onto the scene in 2008 with her successful album “19,” she seemed like such a regular person, both humbled and stunned by her success. “I thought it would just be my friends and family buying it so I wasn’t expecting it to sell thousands of copies at all,” she told British magazine 247. And unlike other celebs who have played the ingenue, we actually believed that Adele meant it. With her zaftig figure and goofy laugh, Adele just felt more like the rest of the world than she did a star. Now with her pregnancy, Adele is keeping an even lower profile. The announcement was simple, with just three lines on her website:
And while other stars have jumped at the chance to show off their pregnancy on the covers of magazines, Adele's been MIA, and it's not because the public isn't eager to know more. On Wednesday, her rep continued to shoo away the spotlight by declining to confirm rumors that the singer is due to give birth in September. Not that we mind - in fact, we find that pretty cool.

What's wrong with all of you people? Your comments are ignorant! What about people like Angelina and Brad having 3 babies out of wedlock? That's ok. Of course, we don't live in the dark ages today. Adele is a great person. If you don't like what CNN is posting, you don't have to read it!!!!!!

Another celeb whose baby will be treated like the second coming of Jesus! First she can't wait for it to get out there that she is pregnant, then it's that she needs her privacy. All for the sake of getting a better offer on the baby pics. Sell out.

I could be wrong, but I have a theory. Adele has to know that people will be watching her as her pregnancy progresses. Knowing that she'll be under such great scrutiny and being on the heavier side, she might want to keep under wraps how far along she is so that people don't say "Wow, she's big for being that many months'. Or what have you. Just comments on her size in general. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see Adele until the baby was 6mths old.

Weight issues and physical conditioning are not the same, and many people adopt vegetarianism to combat cholesterol issues as well as food allergies. This is not hypocracy, it's sensible health management. Why are you so judgmental?

Actually, 'morbidly obese' is a medical term, I believe, not just a lamen's opinion.
Let's assume for just a moment that the child, maybe, was an oops. Condoms break, pills aren't always effective, etc. For all of you judging this "out of wedlock" child, would you prefer she have it aborted or brought into this world by a woman with the resources to give it a better life than most of us will be able to provide for our children?
They are probably more worried about the backlash on the health of a child born to a proudly morbidly obese woman with an incredibly unhealthy life style. Then again she can probably just throw money at it after the fact.
