Katie Holmes stays busy with new film after splitYou could call it a case of art imitating life. Katie Holmes, who recently filed for divorce from megastar Tom Cruise, is now reportedly at work on a new film about a single mother and her daughter.
The 33-year-old is due to start production on "Molly," a project Holmes is said to have co-wrote and co-produced, next week in New York City, reports People magazine via an unnamed source. Filming is expected to continue through August. The actress - who wrapped a modernized version of Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull" this past May - has quite a packed professional and personal calendar post-Cruise. She is also gearing up to shoot the romantic comedy "Responsible Adults" this fall, and is in the midst of planning her first-ever show at New York's Fashion Week for "Holmes & Yang," her clothing line. Holmes filed for divorce, seeking sole custody of the couple's daughter, on June 28. She was married to Cruise for five years.

Does any one with brains really take Scientology seriously? I don't know any one who does! Scientology is a joke!!! Glad Katie could get her and Suri out of that Cult.

In Scientology, gay midgets wield awesome power. She was lucky to get away with her health and sanity.
Celebrities, celebrities, just sometimes a waste of money...with bodyguards, and publicity show...we have more important matters to consider that we are in this difficult economic turmoil so many struggling with paying rent, finding place to live etc.......i think Tom Cruise is a super talented actor love him despite his scientologist belief? i wish the best and wish i can meet you Tom.... take care Katie you have enough money as single mom soon someone comes in your life..... not like some like me as 'to be single mom' yet not yet for a long time.............its all about money..........

Wow, this author got a job writing? Homes is "said to have co-wrote" the film? Really? Is that like she's "said to have CO-WRITTEN" the film? Nobody knows how to use proper grammar anymore. Apparently this also applies to people who write for big name websites. Disturbing.

Greena, we know it is bad by reading the body language, looking at the facial expresions in less-than-posed photos. I remember how awful and broody Princess Di looked in photots 3 years prior to their divorce. It was pretty obvious love was not in bloom! Just saying.... Anyway , congrats to her and maybe it will be good for him too. I dont believe you should shut out a father, but this guy is one to be cautious around. Review his history.

I don't wish Katie Holmes any harm. Not a fan of hers. Never was but hope things work out for the best for her and her daughter.All that being said, she's not a good actress. She never was. And watch her get a Golden Globe and/or an Academy nom for portraying herself-with-a-twist in this "Molly" movie. Too bad she couldn't read the writing on the wall years ago. For crying out loud, he gave her a birthday party at FAO Schwartz. Remember that people.

Katie is simply playing the media. All attention are on her, Tom and Suri right now, so what better way to do than to take advantage of it 'coz who knows maybe once the divorce is final, nobody will be talking about them anymore. Wow, she's been very busy lately, taking Suri out a lot while the media swarms over them, 2 movies lining up, and a fashion show. Getting a divorce must be very inspiring to her.
I'm not understanding where this information is coming from. The show Dateline touched on this topic but it's all speculation. The only thing that is really being said is Tom is sad about this and Katie is not speaking. Everything else is speculation. She has not made a statement as to why she filed and why she is seeking sole custody of their daughter. I keep hearing it's about Scientology but it's an assumption. They are going by the history of other women who left the church of Scientology. I'm not taking sides I'm just waiting for her to speak because she is not talking.
Why she doesn't talk? I guess that is in the divorce settlement agreement...

Katie knew what she was getting into in the beginning, she changed her mind which is ok.
But its not right to keep a daughter away from Father. Suri has a right to know her father….
I do not like Scientology or the cult, but Tom has always been true to what is said that he is a follower.
In any marriage, certain decisions are mutual and one person takes lead in decision making as Tom was here. That does not mean he did not treat Katie well.
She should not have blindsided and involved the media....
whats with showing off at the grocery stores? Never seen actors/actresses pictures of shopping groceries...most likely their maids do it and so is for Katie all along...but why now?I am sure she will stop going to whole foods once the divorce is final
