Actress Danica McKellar and her husband Mike Verta are going their separate ways.
The 37-year old, known for playing the lovable girl-next-door Winnie Cooper in the popular late '80s dramedy “The Wonder Years," told CNN that she's divorcing her husband after three years of marriage.
The actress-turned-author said in a statement Wednesday, "I am saddened by the end of my marriage to Mike."
McKellar, who has written three books on math, including “Math Doesn’t Suck” and “Kiss My Math," reportedly cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for her split from her composer husband.
She added in a statement that the two are "committed to raising our son together and we are focused on remaining the best parents we can be."
McKellar, who has also appeared in “The Big Bang Theory” and “How I Met Your Mother," has reportedly sought joint custody of their one-year-old son Draco.
