"Prometheus" is one of the biggest sci-fi/ non-superhero movie events of the year. Don't believe us? Then take a look at the trailer.

Did your jaw drop? Is your mind blown? We thought so; you're displaying symptoms experienced by sci-fi fans everywhere. The movie's set in 2089, and focused on a team of space explorers who discover a terrible alien threat while searching for the origins of humanity.

Ridley Scott has said that the movie exists in the same universe as "Alien" but has its own mythology and is not directly linked to the franchise. "Prometheus," which stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba and more, comes to theaters on June 8.
