Friday's Top Five: Movie duos

Two heads are often better than one, especially on film. Case in point: this weekend's "Men in Black III."

Regardless of whether this franchise really needed a threequel (critics are leaning toward "no"), the relationship between Agents K and J are at the heart of this franchise, explored further in the latest installment with help from Josh Brolin, who plays the younger Agent K.

As with all great platonic pairs on film, each character brings something to the relationship that equates to an endlessly watchable partnership.

A new director for 'Iron Man 3'?

Updated at 12:25 p.m. ET: CNN has confirmed that Jon Favreau will return for "Iron Man 3" as the film's executive producer. He'll also reprise the role of Happy Hogan.

Jon Favreau will suit up for "Iron Man 3," but don’t look for him in the director’s chair.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Favreau has signed on to play Tony Stark's bodyguard “Happy Hogan" - the role he played in both "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2," which he also directed.

'Idol' winner Phillip Phillips wants you to focus on his music

He may be handsome, but “American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips says he doesn't want to be a sex symbol.

In fact, the guitar-playing Georgia native is so gun-shy about the label, he told People Magazine, "If a girl [voted] for me because I'm cute, and then gets mad that I have a girlfriend, then she doesn't really like the music. I'm not some cute guy who is trying to be successful off that," he said. "I really want the music to come first."

Ryan Seacrest reportedly outed the love birds a few weeks back, though the identity of the 21-year-old's lady love remains a mystery.

Mayer sings a page from 'Fifty Shades of Grey'

Some guys use pickup lines; others will offer to buy you a drink.

But if you’re John Mayer, you'll come up with something a little more original - like serenading a woman with text from the risque book du jour “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

On “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” Tuesday the rocker said he recently tried to woo a girl he liked by performing a page from British author E.L. James’ novel.
