Watch: Selena Gomez's 'Fifty Shades of Grey' parodyWe're still waiting to find out who will star in the movie based on the racy "Fifty Shades of Grey" book, but Selena Gomez likely just made herself a strong contender ... especially if anyone wants to do a spoof film. The teen star has taped a Funny Or Die parody called "Fifty Shades of Blue" - as presented by Benjamin Moore paints (ha!) - proving that she can play the role of the infatuated with serious commitment.
In the parody, it's the uncouth painter Carl Blue (rather than the book's Christian Grey) who the 19-year-old star falls hard for. As she tells us in a voice-over, "I never felt like this about a man before." As Carl coughed his way through his paint job, Gomez chewed on his "gift of paint swatches," finding him to be "so dominating" that she had no choice but to "obey" and snap a photo when he said in response to her creepy staring, "take a picture why don't you, it'll last longer." When he shows her the inside of his van - so that he could make her haul in more paint cans - Gomez wonders "how many other women [he's] opened up to like this," finding herself "nervous and excited all at once." It seems the romance was one-sided, though - Carl Blue never did return those longing glances. In fact, he tells her as he leaves, "For a girl who doesn't talk at all, you have full-on creeped me out." Turner Broadcasting, CNN's parent company, recently invested in Funny Or Die.
