'Community' cast thanks Dan Harmon as he's replaced"Community" fans aren't the only ones hurting over the loss of Dan Harmon as the NBC sitcom's showrunner - the cast of the fan favorite series is as well. On Friday it was announced that writers David Guarascio and Moses Port have been tapped to take over Harmon's series, and the "Community" creator himself confirmed on his Tumblr that he'd been replaced. According to reports, NBC has given the showrunner a major demotion, relegating the outspoken creative exec to “consulting producer.”

Kristen Wiig's emotional 'SNL' goodbyeAlthough NBC never officially announced as much, it looks like Kristen Wiig has cracked her last joke on “Saturday Night Live.” The longtime cast member got a royal but emotional send-off over the weekend from the night's host, Mick Jagger, who played her teacher in a mock graduation skit. The comedian/actress was noticeably choked up as Jagger announced, "Many of you are moving onto college, but I'd like to take a moment to say goodbye to one particular student who is leaving this summer . . .to become a nun," he joked.

When confronted with jail time in the U.K. for failure to pay back taxes, he went to extreme measures to pay off his debt to Her Majesty. After persuading the firm's banker to turn on the ol’ cash spigot to the tune of $50,000, Lane played off the influx of cash to the partners as a surplus and suggested the money be parceled out to SCDP employees as Christmas bonuses.

'Vampire Diaries' leads Teen Choice Award nodsThe "first wave" of nominations for the 2012 Teen Choice Awards are in, and (unsurprisingly) Justin Bieber, “American Idol" and The CW’s “Vampire Diaries” lead the pack. "Idol" and the Biebs have each nabbed five nods, while the CW's addictive series featuring a vamp love triangle secured a leading six nominations. And it's in good company: "Pretty Little Liars," "Gossip Girl," "Supernatural” and “Bones” are all nominated in the TV category, with HBO’s “True Blood” also up for several awards, including Choice TV Show. Series star Anna Paquin is also nominated for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi.

'Duets' judges on what sets show apartABC's new singing competition, "Duets," may come across as just another singing show churning out vocalists. But one of the show's judges thinks there's nothing wrong with musical talent coming from television. “Everybody says like, ‘Oh musicians are coming out of TV programs.’ And people are bashing it," Kelly Clarkson told CNN. "But the reason why I love it, most of the time, is because there is no A&R anymore in the entertainment world. If you don’t make it right off the bat, like if you’re a band that just goes through a label and you don’t make it right off the bat, you get dropped."

Raven-Symone: My sexuality is my businessRumors are flying about Raven-Symoné's love life, but the actress/singer feels no pressure to address the gossip. Last week, a new report surfaced claiming that the 26-year-old is gay, and while she didn't address that report specifically, Symoné wrote on Twitter Friday that she's never talked about her dating life, and she doesn’t plan to start now. The National Enquirer's reported that Symoné is dating and living with AzMarie Livingston, a contestant on “America’s Next Top Model,” at her New York City condo. |
