Justin Bieber hits Vegas for Mayweather fightJustin Bieber's apparently a "Belieber" when it comes to Floyd Mayweather Jr. The 18-year-old pop star showed his support on Saturday night just before Mayweather got in the ring and beat Miguel Cotto. According to Billboard, Bieber even carried two of Mayweather's championship belts into the arena, and the pair were joined by 50 Cent and WWE wrestler Triple H as the welterweight champ made his entrance. Rapper Lil’ Wayne then joined Bieber and Team Mayweather in the ring after judges announced their unanimous decision. The teen singer - who was reportedly with the boxer in his dressing room before the fight and sitting with Mayweather’s “Money Team” during it - was vocal on Twitter about his support of the 35-year-old boxer. Mayweather returned the celebrity love, telling Bieber via Twitter on Saturday, "keep up the great work and thanks for the support #TheMoneyTeam. Enjoy the fight.” All in all, it was a pretty stellar weekend for the Biebs: Not only was he up-close-and-personal at one of the most talked-about fights of the season, the teen heartthrob’s long-awaited latest video, “Boyfriend,” made international headlines when it debuted on Thursday. The video's already amassed 17 million-plus views on YouTube:
The sexy babe-and-car-stocked clip, which aired for the first time Thursday on MTV and Vevo, shows the pop star singing to a lady friend who looks a lot like Selena Gomez, his girlfriend in real life. The singer told MTV that while “Boyfriend” best reflects where he is in life, the single after it is the one he’s most excited about. "I just thought ['Boyfriend'] was ... a song that most represented me at the time and what I wanted to put out there, " he said. "It's crazy, because even my next single after that is going to be better. ... I think it's 'As Long As You Love Me.' It's midtempo. I think it's edgy." “Boyfriend” is the first single off the singer’s upcoming album "Believe," which is expected to drop June 19.
