Elvis Presley's legacy remains larger than life, but his daughter Lisa Marie is offering a glimpse at the man she knew him to be.
As revealed in a new set of exhibits at Graceland, even his wallet offers a view of his off-stage life as it contains a photo of his daughter, a bank card and an insurance card.
“Even the King of Rock ‘n Roll had insurance,” says Kevin Kern, Graceland’s communication director.
Kern appeared on CNN’s “Starting Point” Monday to show off a few choice items from the three new Presley exhibits at Graceland: "Icon: The Influence of Elvis Presley," "Elvis on Tour" and "Elvis...Through His Daughter's Eyes." They opened ahead of the 35th anniversary of Elvis’ death on August 16, 1977.
Among the items on display are a huge gold belt Elvis wore in a photo with President Nixon; solid gold, custom-made sunglasses; and 200 baby items belonging to Lisa Marie.
And, get this: One of the exhibits has a tie-in to none other than Bruce Springsteen, Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake. Click on the above video to find out why.
