Scarlett Johansson on mom's influenceScarlett Johansson received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Wednesday, and the 27-year-old actress says she has her mom to thank for her success. "One of the most important things [my mom] did growing up was that she always said to me that I could do whatever I wanted as long as I really, really wanted it," Johansson told CNN. "It allowed me to constantly sort of reassess what my priorities were and it grounded me in a way, and allowed me to come back to square one and say, 'What am I doing here, and why am I doing it?'" It's a lesson Johansson thinks all kids should learn, "no matter what," she said. "That they should be doing something because they're passionate about it and for no other reason.” Clark Gregg, Tom Hiddleston return to the world of 'The Avengers'This is not Clark Gregg's first rodeo. Gary Ross in talks to direct 'Houdini'Now that director Gary Ross' schedule is cleared of "Catching Fire," it looks like the director has found his next project: “Houdini.” According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-nominated director is currently in negotiations for the position. The Summit Entertainment film would be based on the 2006 book, “The Secret Life of Houdini: The Making of America's First Superhero,” a biography of Harry Houdini by William Kalush and Larry Sloman. Overheard: Kim K. on Kanye's 'wardrobe malfunction'You might've seen a curious photograph floating around on the Web earlier this week that depicted Kanye West's pants falling down a bit as he exited a car with Kim Kardashian. There've been a number of theories as to how Kanye got caught showing off some thigh (as well as a peek at his underwear) while on a supposed "date night" last Friday, but now Kim is explaining what really happened. As she told E! at the network's upfront presentations, it's not nearly as salacious as one might think:
