Mick Jagger to host 'SNL' season finaleMany questions still surround rumored potential changes for "Saturday Night Live," but here's one sure thing: Mick Jagger is scheduled to host the May 19 season finale. It's Jagger's first time hosting, but he'll also perform on the sketch comedy show for the third time that Saturday. He'll bring to a close a season that's been plagued by whispers that a few of the show's stars, particularly Kristen Wiig, were gearing up to depart.
Wiig has vaguely addressed the reports, careful not to say anything definite, and in a call with press Wednesday, "SNL" creator Lorne Michaels conveyed about the same. "I’m not really certain myself," Michaels said when asked about the casting reports. "I know there will be some, but it’s sort of the nature of the way we work that no one talks about it until the season’s done. Needless to say, I’d like everyone to stay." But before the season ender, Eli Manning will serve as host for the May 5 episode, with Rihanna as musical guest. |

I am going to be watching.
We will tune in.
Hey, he and Keith both outlived Michael Jackson.
Season finale? what season? What do they do now, make about 6 new shows a year and show reruns the other 47 weeks?
YOU START MICK UP HE NEVER STOPS...GO MICK!
This guys so old he farts dust. He sounds drunk even when he's sober. Better turn closed caption on...
OH HELL YES.
How did this article become about Wiig. She is NOT funny on a regular basis. Right up there with Ferrell in the NOT funny category.
Please do not minimize Keith Richards.
Jimmy Fallon needs to make a guest appearance and he and Mick (who is a talented actor) can repeat that wonderful mirror skit they did years ago.
'you cant always get what you want. but if you try sometime you might find you get what you need'. I didnt think the youth watched SNL anymore anyway. They're to busy watching vh1 mtv and bet idiotic reality shows.
This is THE MOST rascist thing I have seen or heard in a long time.
I have a feeling he will stink... Elton John did.
Rap still sucks.
I agree, but what has that got to do with Mick Jagger?
This show has gone on well past it's "sell-by" date. Kristen Wiig is leaving?....yawn.
May 5th will definitely not be a show I'll be watching. Think my dead fish need their tank clean. I can think of a million things better to do than watch Eli Manning.
Yawn. I'm going to bed early that night. Why? Cause I'm sleepy. Yawn,
Cool. Mick can b hilarious. Snl is lame / and not funny unless u r l2 yrs. Old
There used to be a really funny comedy show with the name 'Saturday Night Live' years ago. Interestingly, there used to be a really good rock band that would never think of cranking out bubblegum music ALSO called 'The Rolling Stones'.....whatever happened to them?
i gotta match
SNL = So Not Laughing. Put this show out of its misery already.
you clearly don't know what youre talking about...
I hope Keith shows up. Would LOVE to see Mick and Keith do a few acoustic numbers!! TIME WAITS for NO ONE!!
They would probably do 3 songs instead of the usual 2 because of who they are. It's happened in the past with famous bands. They may look old (and they are) but they must be doing something right to maintain super star status for over 4 decades, even if you're not a fan. I only saw them once about 20 years ago and you just could not sit still....you had to get up and make some moves...........fantastic.
Like to see charlIe sheen host and spoof his image. why not?
ROCK AND ROLL
Should be amusing.
Didn't Mick co-host with Jerry Hall back in the '80s? The musical guest was Stevie Ray Vaughan with an appearance by Sam Kinison. I remember that episode because it seemed to have a curse on it. Within a few years after it aired, Mick and Jerry had broken up and Stevie Ray and Sam were dead.
Keith Richards might indeed show up.
Thank you for the inside 411
I heard on the radio that the Olympic organizers for London actually invited him to perform.
Now just get Maroon 5 as musical guest and it would be a perfect show!!
no, then it would suck. Maroon 5 is teenybopper music for teenage girls.
Hey, to each his own when it comes to music, but I do agree with PamE. That would be an awesome show with Maroon 5.
I guess Will Ferrell and Usher won't be the finale guests? IMDB says they will.
I'm hoping he goes up there and does the rooster. Maybe point at people...
Make sure if Keith Richards makes a cameo appearance, SNL has a helmet for him in case he decides to climb anything in the studio.
