Could Miley, Demi or Avril become an 'X Factor' judge? We know that Simon Cowell is looking for a few good women to join his "X Factor" judges' table, and there's a fresh batch of rumored names being added to the mix. According to reports, the reality show king is said to be eyeing Avril Lavigne, Miley Cyrus, Gwen Stefani and Demi Lovato for one of the open judging positions, in addition to also reportedly trying to seal a deal with Britney Spears. E! reports that Cyrus is among the stars in consideration to join Cowell and L.A. Reid on the star-studded panel, but a source tells the site that she hasn’t received an official offer. But she may have some competition for it: the Hollywood Reporter suggests Lovato is already in final negotiations to star on the show. Spears, meanwhile, is thought by some to be a shoo-in for the third seat with a reported $15 million offer - although an official announcement has not yet been made. Spears is the last holdover from the earlier round of names that the media batted about as potential "X Factor" judges, following the dismissal of season 1 personalities Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul. Cowell's got a little time to see who wins the battle of the divas though: the second season of the talent competition is not expected to kick off until September. |

AVRIL LAVIGNE!!!!
How about some experince for judges, Diana Ross, Gloria Estaban, Della Reese, etc, Put some real names of people with knowledge of the industry and are legend singers in there... Not some 20 somethings as judges... If you want any crediblity to the show... GEEZ....
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
do we really need this? I didn't think so.
Although I'm no fan of Miley, she probably has had more entertainment experience crammed into her short life than the ohers, maybe all of them combined.
Why? Isn't the show boring enough already?
Get that English, European, imported, overproduced garbage out of here. Even the live audience seems controlled. That's why we fought the revolutionary war in the first place, was to get rid of those guys.
And exactly what has the US come up with that's any better? ....... Think hard but don't hurt yourself.
I can't understand why Simon or/and the powers that be feel other so-called singers can judge other so-called singers. But I guess not many would watch if all the judges were really producers, studio execs types. Put Dr Dre on there.
I also agree that Miley, Demi & Avril are too young & experienced to be able to be very effective judges. I personally would like to see Gwen Stefani and/or Pink as a judge (or judges). I'm also not sure if Britney would be able to stand the pressure either....
Miley, Demi, and Avril could not handle the pressure of being on this show. Get Gwen. She's mature enough to handle "cutting someone" from the show. The others are not.
I would watch Miley with her man voice and her bong...could be good entertainment?
I would totally watch this show if they put Avril Lavigne on the show
i would also start watching this show if avril was judge!!!!!!
all these singing shows are a bit much. just like all those "Judge ______" shows that came out. we have reached saturation level and we're about to puke. STOP IT PLEASE!
Miley? Seriously?

OMG.....I sure hope not. The show was borderline unwatchable before....any of the above mentioned 3 will have that show off my TIVO record list faster than a NY minute. Love Gwen Stanfani though....she's got talent, class and smarts...unlike the other 3 morons.
Both are to young......come on now get some one that been around the tea cup and have not reach the handle not someone that only been around the block......
X Factor and The Voice are too new to have developed a "star" but American Idol has certainly had their share including a few superstars, i.e. Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson as well as up and comers, Adam Lambert and Katherine McPhee, while many other former Idols are making their careers in the music industry. I'd say they can and do produce successes.
X-Factor has a star. His name is Simon Cowell. Just ask him.
Have any of you actually heard Melanie Amaro sing, who won X Factor the first season???
If you had you would know she will be huge....what an amazing voice!
She is working right now with some great people on her first CD – not sure when it will be out, BUT,
there's always You Tube if you're not familiar!
You wont be sorry!!! Trust me....... unbelievable ....
Gwen Stefani would be good.
Come on people – these shows are well past their expiration date. Does anyone even come remotely close to success after winning on of these anymore?
I don't think they care about the people who win, as long as it generates buzz and ratings. That's probably why you don't hear much of the artists that win years (or sometimes months) later.
The X-Factor is more about the judges and their egos than the talent so it really doesn't matter who they are
The only one on that list remotely qualified to be a judge would be Gwen Stefani. None of the others can sing!
