We're so happy to see that the stars of "Magic Mike" are having as much fun with the film's concept as the rest of us, particularly when it comes to their costumes - or lack thereof (we hope!).
Word has it that Matthew McConaughey will be wearing a pair of pants that will give his backside plenty of um, breathing room, and while he wouldn't confirm to New York magazine's Vulture that the pants are indeed a**less, he did say that he created them.
"I did design some special pants," the 42-year-old actor said, and his co-star Channing Tatum - who provides the basis for the male stripper movie, as he himself used to "dance" once upon a time - backs him up.
"Matthew is going to shock people into another world with this movie!" Tatum, who turned 32 Thursday, told Vulture.
Indeed, added fellow "Magic Mike" star Joe Manganiello (a.k.a. Alcide on "True Blood"), McConaughey set the bar pretty high on set.
"One of the first days of filming, he was wearing a yellow Speedo with a halter top and I looked at him and was like, 'Man, this is really serious business we're about to embark upon.'"
Manganiello himself dons a costume that consists majorly of gold body paint and a matching thong in order to portray his character, Big Dick Richie. Yet and still, even with that image in the film, Tatum promises that McConaughey will steal the show.
"He was born to play this part," he says of McConaughey's character Dallas. "He's my favorite part about this movie, and that's not me being self-deprecating, that's just the honest-to-God truth."
The Steven Soderbergh-directed "Magic Mike" opens June 29.
