Jennie Garth lands lead in Nancy Grace Lifetime movieJennie Garth’s love life may not be where she wants it, but her career seems to be in full swing. According to The Wrap, the newly-minted reality show star - who is in the midst of a divorce from actor Peter Facinelli - has been tapped to play the lead character of a Lifetime movie adapted from HLN personality Nancy Grace’s first novel. Grace will executive produce "Nancy Grace's Eleventh Victim,” based on her debut fictional offering “The Eleventh Victim,” which is about powerful Atlanta assistant D.A. Hailey Dean (Garth) whose fiancee is mysteriously killed.
After she secures the conviction of a notorious serial killer who has offed nearly a dozen prostitutes, Dean ditches the courtroom and moves to New York City to start a new profession as a shrink. But she can’t leave her former prosecutor past behind that easily, as trouble follows her like a GPS. The HLN host is expected to work with Ted Bauman and Josh Sabarra to bring the dramatic project to the small screen. Grace tweeted Thursday afternoon that she was "thrilled" about the upcoming TV movie. |

Nancy does a lot to keep missing kid stories in the news. I think that's a good thing and bless her for doing it. I like Jenny Garth too. Will have to see how the movie plays out.

I can't stand Nancy Grace. I can't think of any reason why I'd want to read something she's written when I can't bear to hear three consecutive words from her mouth. Couldn't agree more... and her show is badly done. Same subject, same questions, same answers over and over, sometimes 2 or 3 or 4 days in a row. Each subject should be half an hour to make room for more missing people. She's boring and her show is boring.

Jenny doesn't have the hardened lawyer-face needed for the role. It reminds me of that made-for TV movie where Phoebe Cates played a hardened woman but she looked too innocent and never sold the role.
Garth is the Lifetime Channel queen and this role is perfect for her. Nancy Grace is just ridiculous, though. She's a disgrace to the legal profession and I lost even more respect for her during her rants covering the Trayvon Martin incident. She really has no idea how to present facts, let alone know what real journalistic style is.

The book the movie is based on has nothing to do with Grace's life. It's totally fiction.
I'm not sure how much fiction it is. Nancy Grace lost a fiancee when she was younger. He was murdered. I think this book is based closely on her life, with some truth mixed with fiction.
It practically defies belief, but Nancy Grace is even uglier on the inside than she is on the outside.
I get that much of what she does is "schtick," but I still don't know how she can live with herself.

Smart for garth...her career is already set for a string of lifetime films. This film will bring her lots of publicity. If she's good she will get more roles.garth is pretty well liked the author not so much. Its based on a book so we will see how close it is to real life. from the 'synopsis' of the story, it sounds like it's loosely based on Nancy's own story of when her first fiance was murdered. so much for originality, Nancy!
I don't believe Ms. Garth has what it takes to become as mean as the character she will portray. Maybe one of Osama bin Laden's wives will be available soon after they get to Saudi Arabia.
