Lifetime execs may be among those who think that Lindsay Lohan is one of the "rare actresses" with the talent to play the late Elizabeth Taylor, but Rosie O'Donnell decidedly is not.
To be fair, O'Donnell wasn't speaking on the topic of Lohan's casting randomly - Matt Lauer asked if she thought it was a "good idea" for Lohan to play a young Taylor on Tuesday's edition of the "Today" show.
"I feel very sorry for her," O'Donnell said. "I think she needs a lot of help, she needs a lot of time away."
The TV personality went on to explain that she didn't think Lohan's role in "Liz & Dick" was a smart move because the actress has "had a lot of trouble doing every single movie...She's not in a place to work. I don't think she's right for the role, and I don't think she's capable at this point of doing what's needed."
What do you think of O'Donnell's remarks? We know how Lohan's camp feels about them: Her rep told E! News, "I think Rosie should focus on her own career and stop worrying about everyone else's."
