'New Girl': Will there be a baby Schmidt?

Tuesday's "New Girl" was all about the kids. CeCe thought she might be pregnant with a baby Schmidt, Jess babysat Russell’s daughter, and Nick learned something interesting/disturbing about the girl he was seeing - emphasis on the word "girl."

Some stuff happened to Winston, too, but his storyline was pointless and boring. Why can't Winston get any plot love, writers?

While babysitting the Fancyman's kid, Sarah, Jess tried to bond by having girl talk. Sarah then asked Jess a series of awkward questions: “Do you and my dad ever dry lump? Is sexting cool? Have you done a 99? How do you make love to a person animal style?”

I know what you’re thinking: "Are those typos?" No, they’re not…she actually said “lump” and “99."

We then realized that Sarah was also in love with Nick, hence the “Do you think that we’ll ever do it animal style?” question.

Schmidt noticed CeCe was acting strange, so he decided to switch things up by asking her out on a date. CeCe turned down his offer because she was freaking out about maybe being pregnant. He tried to make her jealous by calling someone else and asking them out in front of her:

“What it be girl? What you got goin’ on ma? It’s the freakin’ weekend…You wearing something sexy? Oh you got jeans on baby? Are they tight? You taking care of that tooshie for me?” he asked...while talking to Nick.

When Schmidt heard CeCe thought she might be pregnant he was his typically weird self, but also really sweet. He was actually excited, and very vocal about how he would support her no matter what. After all, they “made a caramel miracle.”

Nick, meanwhile, still hasn't caught a break with the ladies. The girl he was seeing was only 18, meaning, as Schmidt told him, “She doesn’t even know what Netscape is [and] she thinks of Ice Cube as mainly an actor.”

After Jess tells everyone that Sarah has a crush on Nick, Sarah gets embarrassed and locks herself in Jess’s room. But of course, at the end of the episode, Sarah "falls out of love" with Nick, and CeCe gets her period. A happy ending as always.

But something else interesting happened at the very end: CeCe said things could go back to the way they were since she’s not pregnant, but it was written all over Schmidt’s face that that wasn’t what he wanted.

After he rushed CeCe to her car, a marriage proposal written in the clouds appeared. Schmidt was going to propose to CeCe! I wonder when they’re going to get it together and become a real couple.

What'd you think of last night's episode?

Thanks for the suggestions you talk about through this website. In addition, quite a few young women who seem to become pregnant never even seek to get health insurance because they worry they couldn't qualify. Although many states right now require insurers provide coverage no matter what about the pre-existing conditions. Rates on most of these guaranteed plans are usually greater, but when with the high cost of health care bills it may be your safer route to take to protect the financial potential.

The first few episodes were so funny. But starting with last week's episode, and now todays, the show has lost it. Nick's character has become such a loser... its almost like the writers didnt know what to do with him. Whatever that spark that was there that made this show original and funny and quirky in the first place is gone. Now its just kinda stupid. Oh well. Im doubtfull a second season is in order.

this show is hilarious, if you don't like it , change the channel. It is a good cast of characters – all interacting very well together. Believable and funny – Hmmmm! I will keep watching. I refuse to watch reality tv and THIS is entertaining.

this show has jumped the shark, jumped the whale, and jumped the dugong. enough with all the zombies and killing. Jess needs to lead her followers away from all of the zombie attacks.

Bigger question should be "Will there be a second season?"

The answer should be "No, because this show is liberal garbage".

Are you watching New Girl or The Walking dead? There are no Zombies on New Girl and it's a great show.
If you have young children then maybe you should be monitoring what they watch... hey here's an idea maybe they shouldn't be wayching so much TV in the first place!

You're not. They're just joking, there's no violence in the show at all.

I agree with Plungie. Too many adult themes and violence for kids New Girl should be given a NC-17 rating.

This show is just a little to creepy for me. All of the zombies and violence. It seems like they would air it at 10.00 pm at least. We really don't need this type of show on during prime time where any child can see it.

if that's your solution then most shows before 10pm should be changed.....keep an eye on what your kids watch is the real solution.
