Perhaps that myth about George Washington cutting down a cherry tree will be put to bed once and for all.
Darren Aronofsky is reportedly entering into negotiations with Paramount Pictures to direct as well as produce “The General,” a biopic on the first U.S. president’s life.
According to Variety, the script was written by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage.
Though not many details about the plot have been released, Variety indicates it will probably be less of a straightforward look at the early leader's life and more of a winding road, like in Clint Eastwood’s “Unforgiven.”
But in the meantime look for more details on Aronofsky's next film, “Noah," about, yes, the Biblical figure.
Russell Crowe will reportedly star in the flick, and the names of Saoirse Ronan and Jennifer Connelly have also reportedly been tossed around.
“Noah” is expected to be released in 2014.
no, dean, boring=no fun. problem is, when you say rap is cr@p, they play the race card. nothing was said about skin color, only about noise and lack of talent. rap will always be cr@p
Eeeww he looks creepy just like my "touchy feely uncle George.
Cnn has really outdone themselves with the level of boredom here on the marquee blog tonight. Lame.
With all the racial hate last night over The Jackson's Tour and Tupac's hologram,we need this boring=peace.
Oh boy, another movie to show black actors in servant roles. I guess they'll get Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer to play General's "personal" slaves.

Dude looks like a sissy Steven Seagal
