Surprising elimination on 'DWTS'It was a rather confusing elimination night on Tuesday's "Dancing with the Stars." A few of the celebrities, Katherine Jenkins in particular, needed clarification (more than once) that they were safe, courtesy of a loud, overzealous audience. The "Dance Duel," promoted last week, didn't occur. ABC says the dance-off between couples with the lowest viewer vote totals will actually begin next week. And one of the show's more popular celebrities got the boot. Sherri Shepherd was the third celebrity voted off the series last night, following Monday's flat tango that confused and disappointed judges and fans. Despite her departure, Shepherd said she enjoyed her experience. "That thing that scares you the most, that makes you say 'I don't know if I can do it, I'm scared,' run towards it," Shepherd told host Tom Bergeron, "It's so amazing on the other side." Melissa Gilbert did not appear on the show after suffering a mild concussion in a dance floor fall Monday. Both Bergeron and pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy told fans that Gilbert will be able to compete next week. "[Melissa's] a fighter, a trooper," Chmerkovskiy told Bergeron. "She's looking forward to next week, but she's a little sedated so she doesn't know what she's looking forward to." Gilbert and the other celebrities will tangle with Latin dances next week. What did you think of last night's elimination? And what are your thoughts on Melissa Gilbert continuing to compete despite her mild concussion? |

Dan's wife calls me The Mailman cuz I deliver the goods. She calls him Christmas cuz he can only come once a year.
Ok, I'll give you that one. That was funny. Even funnier, I don't have a wife. I've had yours, though! Not much fun, I must say.
Every season there's a "surprising" or "shocking" elimination. Kinda takes the surprise & shock out of it after awhile
now if we could just vote the rest of them off and cancel this cr@p altogether.
I am not sorry to see her go. She's an annoying, ignorant woman.
I was sad to see her go. She was brilliant and beauttiful. A true entertainment portion of the show. She was the comedy relief, and we all need to laugh more espeically sinse the us is going down the toilet. Her goodbye speech was just heartbreaking and sincere. I am glad to got to live out a dream, even tho it was for a short time. Hey! we still got the VIIEW! we will see you there Girl!
If only i wasn't so boring my wife won't be cheating on me with my friends.
If only we could vote off certain bloggers.
I'm so thankful she's gone. Now I can watch it without her BIG mouth going off! I got so tired of hearing her scream and act like an idiot Good Riddance now let the show begin!!!!
Why is Sherri's exit surprising? People vote. Obviously people didn't vote for her, so it's not surprising.
