Zac Efron talks love scene with 'Lucky' co-star

Taylor Schilling plays "The Lucky One" in the upcoming adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel, and she feels that way in real life about working with co-star Zac Efron.

It turns out, the feeling's mutual.

"We didn't have to do much searching for our girl, at all. Found Taylor and she was....extraordinarily talented," Efron told CNN of his 27-year-old co-star, who plays the mystery woman Efron's on-screen Marine searches for in North Carolina, thinking her photo may have kept him alive while he served in Iraq.

"I always want to work with people [who] take it to the next level, and seeing her preparation...we had a great time," the 24-year-old actor went on. "It was a great experience."

Efron famously had to bulk up for the role of Logan Thibault in the film, and Schilling says he "rose to the occasion" of changing his physique - and that he wasn't bad in the chemistry department, either.

"It was pretty extraordinary from our screen test[s]... Zac and I sort of clicked immediately," Schilling said. "I was sort of in awe of his generosity as a scene partner, and it was pretty amazing."

And it seems the same can be said for their love-making scenes.

"I’m very lucky. What can I say?" Schilling laughed as Efron added in, "I was pretty lucky too. She’s not bad."
