9/11 hero's mom offended by Daly jokeThe mother of a 9/11 hero has reportedly taken Carson Daly to task for his gay joke. "The Voice" host apologized Wednesday for a joke he made that morning on his syndicated radio show regarding the passengers who recently subdued a JetBlue pilot. "Most of them were on their way to some sort of security conference in Las Vegas...it was like a bunch of...well-trained dudes, thank God," Daly said. "With my luck, it would be like, 'This is the flight going to [the gay pride parade] in San Francisco...'Uh, we're headed down to Vegas for the floral convention.'"

Pillow fort wars on 'Community'Troy and Abed's bromance hit rough waters in Thursday night's episode of "Community." After their successful blanket fort last season, they decided to try a pillow fort, even though it is a more difficult task. Trouble started to brew when Dean Pelton saw it as an opportunity to get a world record for Greendale, and Vice Dean Laybourne convinced Troy that he is just like Inspector Spacetime's sidekick: a lackey who follows Abed's orders.

Watch: Jennifer Lawrence sets to scare in next filmIf you thought watching Jennifer Lawrence do battle to the death in "The Hunger Games" arena was nerve-wracking, you might want to pass on her next flick. This time, the actress is going for real scares. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lawrence worked on an indie horror movie called "House At the End of the Street" prior to filming "The Hunger Games," but the movie's not due out until September 21. Fans of the 21-year-old actress, both new and old, got a taste of what's to come when the trailer for the film hit the Web Thursday.

Aerosmith heats up summer with 'Global Warming' tourThere are pros and cons to holding a press conference in the middle of an outdoor shopping mall, especially in Los Angeles. True, the weather will probably be nice, and pretty people will be walking around for a built-in audience straight out of Central Casting. But on the downside, your event is in danger of being upstaged by the random celebrity who happened to be shopping at the mall with his family. Just before Aerosmith made a grand entrance at Wednesday's presser to announce details of their summer tour, CNN stumbled across Paul Stanley from KISS...in a hut with the Easter Bunny.

America, say hello to your overexposed celebsNot surprising: Kim Kardashian topping a list of the most overexposed celebrities around today. But what is surprising, to us at least, is that Paris Hilton rounds out the top five famous folks who receive way too much attention, according to Forbes' countdown. Hilton doesn't get that much nowadays, not when you consider that Kim K. can cause controversy every other week, whether its a 72-day marriage or a flour bomb, and Lindsay Lohan can land a headline with a hair color change. |
