Looks like it could be “Twins” for actor Eddie Murphy!
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the comedian could soon star in a sequel to the 1988 comedy "Twins," starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito - playing their brother from another mother.
Universal and Montecito Pictures are said to be in talks about the follow-up film, "Triplets," which would reportedly recast Schwarzenegger and DeVito as brothers Julius and Vincent, who find out they actually have a third sibling, played by Murphy.
All three of the actors are said to have signed off on the project in theory, but sources tell THR it’s too early for specifics - the studio has yet to acquire writers for the project.
The would-be sequel doesn't have a director at the moment, either.
But it appears that 1988 was a very good year in Universal's eyes : the film studio is also reportedly developing a sequel to “Midnight Run” featuring Robert De Niro and one of the classic’s two original stars, Charles Grodin.
