We know Hollywood isn't into commonplace baby names, but it looks like at least one celeb also has a unique approach to feeding time.
Actress Alicia Silverstone, known for her "Clueless" role, has posted a video clip on her blog that shows her using her mouth as a utensil to feed her son Bear Blu.
The 35-year-old vegan star, who welcomed son Bear with husband Christopher Jarecki last May, described having a breakfast of "miso soup, collards and radish...cast iron mochi with nori wrapped outside, and some grated daikon" on Friday, adding that Bear got to taste some of the mochi and vegetables thanks to mom's mouth-to-mouth feeding technique.
Silverstone demonstrates with a video that's about a month or two old, and shows her chewing up a few bites first before dropping the goods into Bear's mouth with her own, not unlike a mama bird would do.
"It's his favorite" way to eat, she writes in the post, "and mine."
So much so, that Bear seems to expect a snack when he catches Silverstone noshing on something.
"He literally crawls across the room to attack my mouth if I'm eating," she added. "The video was taken about a month or two ago when he was a bit wobbly. Now he is grabbing my mouth to get the food!"
We take it that he enjoys the vegan fare, then. Silverstone told Parenting magazine that Bear "will be vegan as long as I'm feeding him. I want him to have the healthiest start as possible in life, and I hope he's inspired and excited by how we live."
