You may not be aware, but a little independent film called "Hunger Games" was released today.
We kid, because seriously how could you not know that the movie, which some say might eclipse the 'Twilight' frenzy, has arrived? Tons of tweets, articles and anticipation by fans proceeded the release of the tale of Katniss Everdeen's fight for survival during the televised fight-to-the-death known as the Hunger Games.
Based on the young adult book series by Suzanne Collins, the film was selling tickets like crazy before the first midnight screenings early on Friday morning. Book sales increased both online and at brick-and-mortar establishments, like the Soho Scholastic store which, according to the New York Daily News, was enjoying a frenzy of fans picking up the novels (published by Scholastic.)
We here at CNN have been guilty of getting in on the action also. We've covered everything from screenwriter and director Gary Ross' efforts to bring the first novel to the screen to how the film is influencing fashion and even how it's changing the stereotype of hunters.
And in case you missed it (but how could you?) we talked to some of the film's co-stars.
So we just have to ask: Have you seen "Hunger Games" or do you plan on seeing it? Do you even want to see it or are you over it? Sound off!
