Jessica Alba to write first bookActress Jessica Alba is tackling another new role: author. The “Fantastic Four” star told People magazine that she’ll soon release her first book, “The Honest Life.” She's referring to it as a how-to guide to creating a non-toxic home life for your family.
The married mother of two says her own brood served as a template for the tome, which is set to hit bookshelves early next year. The actress says it will offer tips on how to create a safe environment for the ones you love, tackling everything from design tips to recipes - including some from her own kitchen. It will also chronicle her life as a mother and entrepreneur. "It's totally crazy but amazing," Alba told the magazine about the impending project, adding that she's "not extreme." “This book is for people who are in the middle but want to create a healthier life, like me.” The book is actually an extension of Alba’s new health-based business, The Honest Company, which she launched with business partner Christopher Gavigan, who also helped scribe the book. Alba is the mother to two tykes, 3-year-old Honor and 7-month-old Haven.

I am more anxious to see her on the pole than read her book.

It always seems like celebrities who always talk about how to make your family life the best, are the ones a few years down the road that get divorced. I hope she has a happy marriage that lasts.

I was unaware she could even read a book.
Who cares if can read or not she's beautiful.
As long as it comes with pictures of her, I'll buy it... like you know, not just her face!
It looks like she's wearing a see-through dress in that picture. I wish they would have panned down!
Like she knows what the average American family life is really like. Plus, I'm willing to bet the book is ghost-written. She'll just slap her name on it.
At least it's not another children's book. So many stars are doing that now.
Just what we need. Another book by a celebrity telling how to balance family and career! Any chapters on how were supposed to afford the nannies, cooks and housekeepers they have to achieve this nirvana?
Easy to tell when someones career as an actor or actress falls on hard times...suddenly they write a book.
