In a moment of rare celebrity candor, "Mad Men's" Elisabeth Moss opens up to Page Six magazine about her split from "Saturday Night Live" and "Portlandia" star Fred Armisen.
She continues: "One of the greatest things I heard someone say about him is, 'He's so great at doing impersonations. But the greatest impersonation he does is that of a normal person.' To me, that sums it up."
The comment seems to have been a moment of realization for Moss, but she tells Page Six that's really all she has to say about her former husband.
"I've never told anyone that. And I don't want to waste any more of my life talking about it," she says. Adding that she's "very much" enjoying being single, Moss isn't worried about maintaining any sort of relationship with Armisen, as she certainly doesn't keep in touch with him. ("Oh God, no," she replies when asked.)
"I obviously want a partner in life, and I want someone to grow old with, but there's also a nice time when you're young to enjoy being you," she says. "I'm addicted to and obsessed with my freedom in that sense. I'm having fun!"
We'll raise a glass, "Mad Men" style, to that. The fifth season of Moss' series returns to AMC on March 25.
